For Sat night, we're still trying to decide. but the options are:

goto Austin's newest Entertainment Center that has a bunch of stuff to do (Miniature Golf, Bumper Boats, Batting Range, Golf Range, Laser Tag, Rock Wall, 2 Go-kart tracks, Kiddy Ride Area, Private Event Rooms, Full Restaurant)

go eat at another restraraunt, or

go to 6th st.

Never been to an AO meet...But with so many people going...How do you guys play your games?? I would seem that you wouldn't get to play too much because so many people go?? Or do you have multiple fields or what?

Can someone explain some more about them, how they were in the past?

FYI, if we eat at Oasis we'd be going strictly for the view - the food isn't that great unless you stick with the chips/salsa/alcohol staple we all know and love.

Well, I can't say the food is terrible, but it's really hard for one restaurant to have good American, Italian, and Mexican food all at the same place. Their specialty is the view and that's a nice treat, but you end up paying for that view in the prices of the food. I have no complaints if we do end up going there, I just think it will be hard for all of us to be able to go on Friday night, July 4th because everyone will want to go there, and I think we could get better food elsewhere. It is also a 20+ mile drive for me, and I live IN the city. That may be a pain for people who are staying outside the city on the east side (the complete other side of the city from Oasis).

A better place could be Trudy's (my personal favorite), Baby A's (good margaritas), Chuy's (where Jenna Bush got busted), Curras (a lady I work with owns this place), Maudie's (all-around good), etc. Those are all Mexican places, but Trudy's is extremely Austin and has a great atmosphere. Just ask Daroach about me and those mexican martinis...

If you're wanting to go to Oasis for fireworks over the lake, that's cool, too, but more than likely we'll have to go early and stay for a few hours to ensure we have a place to sit when the time comes for the show.

That's just my opinion, please don't shoot. If any of this doesn't make sense let me know. And Clare - I'm not trying to shoot down your ideas! Just trying to be more practical I guess, or at least what is more practical in my opinion.

If the foods alright, then I'll go anywhere, doesn't matter to me. If you don't dislike the food at oasis, then that's cool, I'm up for it...
