AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Well... it appears that I may be the only moderator to show up. Everyone else is going to IAO. Paying for both is just too expensive. I won't be going to IAO this year...
/me has a feeling that he will be the focus of AOer's pent up aggression against the moderators.
I can't find any events of interest going on during the weekend other than the free outdoor Austin Symphony Fireworks Concert on Saturday night but not a lot of people are up for that. There's always Sixth Street, though (for those who have never heard of it: it has dance clubs, bars, pool halls, restaurants, comedy clubs and live-music venues).
We'll still have to plan where we'll be having our AO day dinner!
Miscue, all I have to say is YUCK! I hope you'll enjoy your visit to good ol' Austin in July!
