I am collecting AO and AIM screenames for a possible OH AO day. But that same list could be used to help put michigan back in its place. If you or anyone you know belongs to AO and lives in Ohio, please email AO and AIM screennames to me at [email protected] or on AIM at Linepride70. Thanks. Go Bucks!
It came to a point in my life when it was either pay the rent or buy paintball gear. I think I made the wise choice. If anyoneone needs me I'm livin in a van down by the river.

well THE GAME is here this year, so lets just use the parking lot in the BIG HOUSE as a field and cars as bunkers.

I don't think anyone wants a piece of AO-OH. Even if they do, I don't think they can handle us.

hmmm... just have a massive acreage, covered with all sorts of terrain... construct flag stations for each state, around the perimeter... last state standing wins.

                sounds kinda, I dunno... war-ish?

I think a state tournament series would be sweet, like Pro football/baseball/hockey style. Each state could throw together a five-man team, and we could schedule "matches" to be held at various AO meets throughout the year, at peoples' home fields, with the semi-finals and finals to be at the megameet... god, the logistics are mind-boggling. Though, if we tried to follow the schedule of a major league sport, it would be easy to coordinate. Except for the expense. I know I can't afford to travel the country a bunch of times, just to wipe all y'all out with Michigan's obviously superior abilities, firepower, and general good looks. Oh well. We KNOW who would win. --Dave

I hadn't thought about it earlier, but a state tournament series would be a sweet idea. I can invision now a Texas player running back the _State Flag_ of Oklahoma to their base, or myself throwing a Michigan flag into my toilet for that matter
Yes, good old fashioned capture-the-flag with _State Flags_!!!

Anyway, the problem with a series is creating a ladder bracket and actually scheduling games for teams to play each other. First off, a ladder based tournament would imply a number of teams to ^2, unless a team was to receive a bye. Since it's unreasonable that 32 states could field teams (is it?), I think we'd look first at a pool of 16 state teams.

                      Is it 3-man, 5-man, 10-man? Hmmm ... home team chooses game type: like Air-Ball, Woods-ball, etc ...

As a hypothetical, what-if we organized a 16-state, 10-man ladder tourney, with an entry fee of only $10 per person? This would field a total entry sum of $1,600, which could be applied to purchasing maybe 10 warp feeds, which go to the members of the winning state. Is this (and state pride) enough incentive to get two teams to travel cross-country - out of their respective regions - to settle the score in the quarter-finals?

Higher purse? Do it in the name of charity for an AO-State? Higher/no entry fee?

If it were a one-shot, winner-take-all ladder tourney, I'd vote for a minimal or no entry fee. If it were a "season," with pre-determined "divisions," then we could even up the ante a bit. What if it were a $50 entry fee? This yields a pool of $8,000 with 16 10-man teams! Would you pay $50 for the chance at an E-Mag?

I do really like the suggested ideas of having the "finals" at the Megameet, and scheduling a "season" over the course of a calendar year.
