Good job guys for getting this together. I actually got another person to come (not a mag guy but oh well).

On a side not I was trying out my Halo B today on my newly finished RT Pro and... well.. the Halo sorta... burned... I am not sure how else to describe it, but there ya go. Short circuit or something. So back it goes to Halo and I guess I am stuck with the Revy again.

I got paint bty LilPaintballBoy but thanks! I plan to be there are 8am.

      Woohoo

Im all set for saturday, but the more I think about it, the less I like the idea of playing in advanced. All my, what, maybe 10 games worth of experience has been wood/rec ball. I have NEVER, EVER played a game of speedball. So playing against a bunch of seasoned pros would be a waste of time.

I know the old adage about playing better players to increase your skill level, but frankly, playing in intermediate would be putting me with better players. I'm hoping there might be other AO people in the same boat as me.

Steeratt: Its no prob dude... just play intermediate, im pretty sure there some Ao'er or friends of AO'ers that help ya out. I think a coupla my buddies are goin into intermediate. In anycase if you do get to play advanced, it would be one helluva breakthrough day for ya!

Z-Man: Sweet, more peeps for the crew. Whats yer buddy shooting? I got 2 dudes with an Angel and another with a Cocker.

Oh yeah bring the cameras and what nots, we'll get'em posted and just get stoked. I wanna get some cool mugging/bunker pics.

steerat- hey dude, its fine if yuo play in intermediate, i was going to at first but then i thiught, if pretty much all the other AOers are playing Advanced, i guess ill play advanced as its not much of an AO day if you're just playing with the walk-ons. the worst that can happen is you might get shot. and you would gain a hell of alot more experiance playing in tighter situations than when its not as hard. but if you want to play intermediate still, than i guess me and Aegis will play with you. that way we can have more of an "AO" day. think about it, i wouldnt have played in advanced either if it werent for the other AO people. im sure some others will play intermediate too, heck, maybe we should just make the event intermediate so that EVERYBODY is comfortable.oh, and i highly doubt there will be any pros, the only pro team i know of around here is Ironmen (great guys) and they are stationed in modesto, RT's field. BTW, lets see if we can have the next meet at Extreme (modesto) everythings half the price (all day air 6.00, all day admission 15.00 etc.)and its a very friendly atmosphere. you can just leave your stuff out on the tables in the staging area,, no locks, as it should be.

Is this whole Advanced/intermediate thing a real problem here? Can't we switch if we want to throughout the day? I mean if we find that Advanced was not fun at all or the intermediate was a joke could we not just switch?

I appreciate the support guys :) I'll see how I do in intermediate, then maybe switch to advanced later. If not, theres always next time. And I'm totally up for whatever field you all want to use next time, I can always justify 1-2 hours of driving for the AO crew.

Good job to those guys who took charge to get this finalized. I think we are just a huge group of slackers who just need some direction.

Unfortunately I won't be able to join you this time due to prior commitments. I hope someone takes pictures. I'm sure we'd all like to see them.

For those of you worried about the intermediate/advanced thing, give advanced a try. I'm more of a recball player, and FAR from advanced, but was able to do OK in the advanced group. Listen to Phil (like you could possibly avoid it ) and any of the other more experienced players, they can help you with improving your game.

I'm going to look like such a newbie out there. As a matter of fact, I'm going to spring for a set of paintball pants, some shoes, and a jersey before Saturday. I don't think the ol' BDUs are going to cut it anymore.

I'll take any advice anyone is willing to give me. Due to my line of work I have, ah, preconceived notions about tactical operations. I'll have to work to overcome those.

dude, why spring for the clothing if your only going to play speed perhaps this once?i have a jersey, thats it, and i wouldnt even have that if i didnt get it for my birthday. just jeans and a sweatshirt or any long sleeved shirt is fine. i wear a pair of hockey pants, but i also play hockey so i already had those. summary- why waste money on clothes that wont make you a better player, when you could use it on upgrades for you gun and stuff. cool clothes are NOT going to make you a better player. and then if you dont do to well people wont call you a total newbie posing as a pb player wearing jerseys and other misc. pb items.*

this will not happen, its a worst case scenario
