Was that the chick that told us to go screw ourselves during the big nic fight? If I remember correctly that was the girl that told blue guys not to shoot her anymore since she was on blue. No thanks to the newbs on white team, white lost the big nic fight because he didnt take the flag back to the white station instead he blew the horn at the blue flag station winning the game for blue. That sucked, since I jumped ship and played on white that game. Oh well, we'll get 'em next year for sure and I'll be shooting an X-mag by then

She was NOT a happy camper. I don't claim to know the whole story, but I guess someone on the white team put the barrelof his gun into her frined's chest, and pulled hte trigger once, if not a few times. Then proceeded to light her up after she was eliminated, and had her gun in the air.

The mood shifted on Sunday afternoon. People were getting mad, and taking it out on anything downrange. I thought I heard a ref screaming at a player becasue the guy was TORCHING the ref. A whole lot of anger. OH, anyone else notice how many people on BOTH teams got 'caught' for chrony violations before the Nic game? Scary stuff...

I think I was close to the ref you are talking about. He was getting lit up hard by a player across the field. I can understand his frustration, but I don't think the player could see anything other than the ref's legs. When he stood up, the firing stopped.

I do think there are many folks out there (and I suspect at any big game) that just keep firing and don't pay too much attention to what they are shooting at. I have been shot in the back out there so many times that I have taken to putting my team color on the back strap of my mask.

No, it's not too early to start talking about the May 1 big game.... I'll be buying my train tickets in 4 short months...:)

I almost shoved my Phantom up someone's rear several years ago, when that someone shot me as I exited the barrel field, so I do understand the frustration. (Shives witnessed the confrontation)
BTW, ever since I added a decent sized Texas flag to my barrel sock/plug, no one shoots me after I'm out.

I was at the tent after the first game for about a half hour. After that I played nic whenever I got shot out from Big Game.

You're surprised you took extra hits at the barrel field? I'm surprised if I don't get shot walking off it. Considering it's usually one of the more hotly contested areas, you should expect it and keep walking.

I hope you play on the blue team every year.

Yep.... near the parking lot tape line, barrel plug in the gun, gun high in the air, walking directly for the tape line, about 4 feet from the tape line, in the wide open, all of our team had been cleared from the surrounding 200 feet, and I already had about 25 players from the other team pass me.

No, I wasn't expecting to be shot, again.
{PS: please note the "almost" in my previous post... I just yelled at the foolish player....}


I usually start on the blue team with Kendrick and Tyger, and then switch after a few lopsided games.

Please be aware that I have had a morbid curiousity about what would happen if I shoved the barrel of my 1992 Mag up someone's rear, and repeatedly pulled the trigger with no paint in the gun, then lit a match......

that not only sounds painful, but the vision in my head even puts me in pain!
