    The US paintball scene

So what is paintball like down south I have played up in Canada for the last 12-13 years and I am sick of the lack of players, fields, parts, paint and mags I have only met one person other then me that shoots a mag. I am just curious where the best paintball scene is, because i have been thinking of moving to the United States. Any opinions would be appreciated eh
Hmmm wonder what this space is for

Well, it depends where you move to. The paintball scene in South Dakota isn't going to be as big as Southern California, if you catch my drift.

As far as fields and players, there are a TON in California as well as quite a few Mags. Our NorCal group could have 20+ people if everyeon on this forum from NorCal showed up to our AO Days. Course, California is a bit of a messed up state...

I live in Texas and I have to say that we have a HUGE paintball following. Texans have their pick of fields and there are several well run tournament series throughout my state. Though I am one of the few who actually use mags in my area. Higher end electros are more popular here such as trix's angels and timmies. The weather is decent enough to play almost year round.

            Paintball in Ottawa

Sorry to hear paintball's not all that popular in your area of Alberta. Paintball in Ottawa, Canada is thriving. My club, The Canadian Contingent has at least 17 members who own an AirGun Designs product. There's everything from Pump Mags to X-Mags. I own two 68 Automags myself. I swear by them (only occasionally at them) and refuse to consider any other semis. We help our home field, Paintstorm OSG organize two big games each year. The interest and attendance in them grows with each event.
There's a renewed interest in pump here as well. We have lots of veteran members and new players who own pump guns. EMR will be holding it's first all pump big game this August. I have my reservations booked already.
Living close to the U.S. border does not hurt. We take in big games in New York and Pennsylvania every year. I guess what they say is true. It's all about location, location, location.

Yes, as you can see, there are many places across the US that thrive concerning Paintball. New England is doing VERY well also, and it seems that every time I turn around I see new players. The sport is really booming now, and I can see a difference between now and even just a couple years ago.

im in georgia.. and its pretty popular hear, id say 75% of all the players are noobs though.

We have 2 fields within 30 mins.. and more for about an hour drive.
