Midway-If the group wants, i can call them. I get severely agitated when a field caters to teams at the expense of walk-on players. If they advertise it, they should let people use it. IF everyone is upset with this, we can come up with a back-up plan for a field. Just let us know how you feel.

Too bad Yagr cant make it But we still have enough for a good solid mini ao day.

And I dont think Aegis and LPBB are going to make it, though I could be wrong.

BTW, Z-man and I had a fun day of play at TAG. Not as many games as I would have liked, especially since I may have been the only paying self-equipped player. But it was a good time. And I would like to point out that Im one up on Z-man, as I got him in one game, and managed to avoid being shot by him for once. Its usually Zach that shoots me, anyways.

Actually Ryan was in rare form. no spills and he held up very well for playing all day in 90+ weather and playing all of 2 fields over and over vs. Team Inflict and Rampage. A+ performance with tasty Pizza Hut as the reward!

I will address the complaints about the airball field. Let me know if you need paint. I am willing to brinf some private lable .687 for anyone who wants to buy a case ($45)

Most of us tend to get our paint at a place in stockton that sells big ball for $30. I've been in a small bore kick lately, and have been getting blaze for around $44.

I appreciate your help in contacting Midway. I don't think 10 people is going to happen this time, as participants are dropping out left and right. Im hoping for 5 or 6 right now, so itll be a good opportunity to try out Midway.

ProX9, dont bail out just because you think it might suck. 50% of the reason we go is for the camraderie. Even crappy experiences give us a good laugh. AO day 2 involved fewer games than we would have liked due to issues at SCP, but we made the most of it, had a good time, and laughed about the problems. Join us...

EDIT: Z-man doth flatter me too much The beginning of the day was rough, as I kept getting shot out without doing much. Later on I got into my groove, and gave as good as I got. Z-man and his buds put on a good show, and I had a great time there. Also, I seem to be favoring the Lotus over the Viking lately, and it worked smoothly right up until I tried to shoot field paint. Z-man was his usual awesome presence on the field, though his awesomeness took a hit when the Halo crapped out on him.

Most hilarious point of the day. I asked Z-man to check on getting some field paint for me. He pokes his head inside the storage area and tells me they have to kinds: Some generic type and, you guessed it, Drakula! BLAH, BLAH!

Ryan Im not bailing out because of the field, well not completely but i have to stop borrowing nitro and a packs all the time i want my own gear thats why im not going because this trip will cut any chance of me getting that stuff before christmas and right now a complete redz pack for 30 bucks looks pretty good to me and 60 dollars later to the money i have left ill have a tank and be completely self equipped. im sorry i cant go i really want to but right now 99% percent of me says to save up and buy my gear and stop being a damn begger for stuff.

For those who are worried about airball I copied the reply I got from Midway. If I am to get us any kind of discount we need 10 plus....

The airball field is not for team practice only. Our format with walk-on playes is as follows:
Between 9am and 11am, we play about 4 games on our larger fields. From 11am-12pm we play on airball and hyperball. From 1pm-3pm we are back on the larger fields, and then from 3pm-4pm we go back to airball and hyperball.

Huh, 2 hours on hyper and airball? Thats an oddly low % of the time, but Im still willing to try it out.

did you see the post on what the managment said at Midway regarding Airball? Also looks like we won't be getting that 10 person discount... :/

I saw the post. There is a grand total of 2 hours on air and hyper, which does not seem like much.

If people dont like the way this sounds, we can always go to our old standby, SCP. They have my favorite bathrooms there (i.e. not a porta-potty), and that means a lot as you get older.

well at this point that makes a lot of sense to me. If we have like 4 people showing up for a LOOOOONG distacne drive when we can hove 4 people show up on a short drive, I am tempted to go to SCP. I would like to hear what everyone else thinks though.
