    Paintballers in the Philippines?!

Yo...I just wanted to see if there are any paintballers in the Philippines...somewhere near Manila. I'll be leaving tonight and will stay out there till the 30th. Not a very long trip but if there's anyone from AO here who's willing to meet and play, I'd be up for it.

It's a long shot(and a long flight) but I just wanted to see if I can expand my paintball experience abroad! :)

Oh...and if I do meet up with anyone...got a spare mag I can borrow? :)

      Well, here's another Pinoy representing

I'm not in the homeland any longer, but if you're ever in Virginia give me a holler...

There is some paintball in the Philippines. I was taking to a guy at the Kingman forums who was in the Philippines and he mentioned playing somewhere near Legaspi. When you get back, let us know if you find a field out there. On a side note, my uncle is going to retire soon and he was thinking of opening up a paintball field out there...

Unfortunatley, Gibby missed everyones posts. Since it's an international flight he had to leave for the airport early. But, when he calls or sends me an email I'll let him know there were several responses so he can log on and check out the link and other info you guys gave him. Thanks for responding and please post if you have more info, I'm sure he'll log on when he has a chance.

              Oh btw,

I know a paintballer who's from the Phillipines that lives here too. He's in his 20s and was born there. I dunno if he's an AOer though, but he sports an IR3, but knowing him he's probably sold it to buy another Angel (he only uses Angels). Oh, and btw, he's on a local Amateur Team named Deviant Attitude.

DANG! What a long flight! 14 hours non-stop! PHEW! But I made it safely! I also experienced the first brown out since being here 14 years ago! LOL!

WOW! Too bad some of you guys aren't still down here...I heard there is an indoor field somewhere near where I'm staying in Manila. My cousin's know I play and wondered if her daughter can play...I said sure but I asked how she was with pain. I told her there is some bruising involved and she said...OH...NEVERMIND!! DOH!! Hey, I had to tell her the truth right?!

In any case, I'm not sure if I'm going to get the chance to check it out...but maybe...who knows. Maybe my cousin can introduce me to a few people who might be willing to play and we'll see. It would have been awesome to meet a fellow AOer out here.

I heard they charge by the paintball though...LOL!! But if I'm nearby, I'll check it out. I wished I could have brought my stuff too but oh well. :)

Anyway, better end it short before another brown out claims another lengthy, and pointless note. I'll check back now and then so if there's anyone out there...PM ME!!!

                    Lates!

Hrm...guess paintball isn't quite as popular over here yet. Although I already know of two places to play, I'm not sure paintball is catching on. One indoor field I heard about is in a mall area...the very lower levels where it's very hot and humid. Although I didn't see the actual field, I did see a poster and it showed a bunch of guys and girls all decked out with Timmies. But that was just a poster...I'll probably return to that mall and check it out this time...we were in a rush the first time.

The second paintball field called Global Ballz only consisted of two small outdoor fields...one was a supair field....looked really nice. The other one was a semi-urban setting. Fields looked like they'd be good for 7 players...anymore would be too crowded. Unfortunately, no one was playing. I've never seen a more immaculate field!

Anyway, that's my report back as to how the pb scene is down here. My guess is, it's too expensive of a sport. Hell, it's expensive up back home...even more so over here.

                        Till next time....

Yeah but you're like a millionaire up in there man! one dollar is like around 50 pesos!

thanks for the report man. it's good to know there is some paintball in the PI. it's kind of trippy to have PB in the mall. i'd definitely be a mall rat if that's the case.

True, I could probably afford to play out here...but the question is...If the second field is any indication of the popularity of the sport, who the hell am I going to play with?! Maybe I can be the first one to shoot at the bunkers...LOL!

But like I said, hopefully I'll return to the mall...I believe it was the Rockwell mall...and see how that's like. Makes me wish I brought my gear but I wouldn't chance it. Knowing how the customs is like, they'd probably want to keep my stuff! NO WAY!!! :)
