Forming Las Vegas Team - Looking for Players

Tye92, Jrome47, Trex, Miscue, George (I forgot your screen name) and I were able to play in a tournament Saturday. We played under the name "Las Vegas Sin" (I didn't really want to undermine anything that Miscue already had going) George was the only one who has ever played in any tornaments, and he came down from Reno at the last second, which was much appreciated. Tye, Rex, Trevor and myself have known each other for many years, but due to the way feilds seperate players as they come on never really gave us real chance of playing as a team in any way and we have never played with Miscue or George, ever. With that said we drove up to Tonopah, Nevada to play in a little Novice tournament and to our surprise we did fairly well, the team would have been completly Mags if I wasn't shooting my Angel. Through out the process of getting ready to play I learned how hard it was to get things orginized (money, paint, players, rooms) and I really thank those who played. As you look at the score card we were able to hang right in there and most of that was from team work and haveing great communication, I would love to show this score card and not tell the rest of the story but unlike some of the teams we lost to, I'll be perfectly honest. We went into a semi finals, that we didn't know we were going to have to play, in 1st; I know, how do you not know you were going to have to play in a finals of some sort, well this was a round robin type tournament and the finals were suposed to be based on the results of the 10 games, this really took the wind out of our sails because we had beaten some really good teams and the heat and fatigue really caught up with us; needless to say we lost the first 2 out of 3 and was relegated to playing for 3rd aginst probably the toughest of the teams that were there, inwhich we lost 2-3; all in all it was an awsome experiance and after an early morning, 14 games and a long drive home, I'm writing this in pain and soreness. Thanks you guys.

Im sorry I couldint make it ive been extreamly bisy helping my mom move,school, and work. So I have hardly had time to sleep.

But I am very proud of you guys thats totaly kick ***!

Way to go guys. Nice wa to start things off. Anyway yeah an update on jerseys would be good, and also on the emags. I should have enough money for both on the 28. So I need to know where I'm sending money or who I'm givin it to. Congrats again guys. Oh yeah so what did you bring home?

Thanks to Steve (RTSlave) for setting everything up. It was a great experience.

On a side note a friend of mine that plays on a factory team says that they get reserve time at the Sports Park. He invited us to come and play with/against them. I think it would be a good experience for us. We'll just have to set it up. They have a tournament if Florida this week, so we have some time, but just a heads up.

Tonopah Tourney

Yea, Thanks Steve (Rtslave) for the time spent setting it up, it was fun to play together in a tourney (finally). It was definitely a very good first time tourney experience for us all. Just wish i had the hair trigger already, would of helped me to throw alittle more paint off the breaks but overall i'd say the mech mags made a good showing since three of us were shooting them. Trex, i think it would be fun to play with or against the team for practice. Is that Neil that offered? Talk to you guys later.

Yeah, Steve did great putting this trip together. I agree... the hair trigger would help put up some more paint and increase our effectiveness on the break - although I think we did pretty good overall. I'm still surprised and happy with how we did, I didn't know what to expect. All of us played well, and I think we did pretty good with communication - considering we never really practiced. We're just going to get better!

ive got a meeting i have to go to but i will be at desert storm saturday morning till 1. and the sports park sunday morning till 1 if anyone would like to join me.

Ok this is falling to far from the top. Anyway I'm gonna try and get some time in tomorrow if I can. Turns out I have to do an engine swap sometime this week or next so I have to prepare the new engine.(thanks goat) Anyway let me know whos interested, didn't seem to have to much of a turn out on wednesday so maybe we can get one tomorrow (sunday). Oh yeah any word on the jerseys and emags?? gettin close to payday, so I need to know what I'm doin with this money
