Looks like I will go after all. I was checking the directions and got this...is it right? I will be coming on Saturday around 9-10am. Does anyone know if Rancho Tee is booked up? I will try calling tommorrow to book a room. Anyone have room if I can't book one? I'll split cost.

OK I'm not sure if this has been brought up but what time are we supposed to get there on saturday. Also what time does the sun go down up there. I'd hate to have to call it quits early due to light.

I would like to start as early as possible to make use of the sun...though my GF is going to kill me.

You will go up a steep hill, with 3 serious switchbacks. After the 15mph right-hand curve at the top, continue for about 11/4 mile and look for the field on your LEFT. Turn into the white fenced entrance, this is a private drive, so keep it slow.


And is that really supposed to say 11/4 of a mile? As in almost 3 miles???

OK now that we are closer to the actual date, here is what I think will happen. Just so you all know, Tom Kaye will be staying at the <b>Rancho Tree Motel</b> and be there from 4pm Friday to about noon on Sunday!

<b>FRIDAY</B>

3-4pm - many of us will arrive (including Tom Kaye). We will be driving out to the field to help with anything that needs setting up (airball, patching the bunkers, netting etc). Depending on what need to be done and how many of us show up we should finish and be back by 5-6pm.

6-7pmish We will try and organize a big friday night dinner somewhere with Tom and then return to the Hampton Inn where I plan on having a conference room available for us to chat. I plan on going to sleep around 10pm is possible.

<b>SATURDAY</b>

I think the official start time if the games is 9am. I will be there earlier to help with parking and all that. As perking will be limited, I encourage people to carpool and cut down the traffic.

We can play ALL day until it gets dark (around 6pm).

After that I will be helping with whatever is needed at the field and then back to the room to import all video/ pictures that people have taken.

<b>Again, PLEASE bring any USB transfer cables or card readers so that I can get your pictures</b>

I am not sure about Sunday yet...

I would like to get tourney games started at around 9:30 so that we can get the whole thing over with early enough to play some big games. So please show up early and register with me so I can finalize the schedule in time. I would like to have most of the teams and rosters by friday night. That way its easier to have a schedule. People will be allowed to make teams at the field. But the less teams created on the spot, the less hassle to get everything organized. I will try and do the registration at the same area as the regular sign in.

Agreed. I think that anyone who wants to play in the mini ish talking match should get there at least an hour earlier to make it easier for Curly and the guys organizing it.
