    Best field in Texas? Anyone?

I have my reasons for a starting this trainwreck....

    My requirements :

The field should be near a major airport, within an hour drive.
The field should be "kinda" easy to get to.
The field should be visually intresting, the kind of thing that photographs well.
The field should be open to walk ons on weekends.

If anyone in Texas can hook me up with a web site to a field that will fill most, if not all, of these requirements, please post it here?

I have my reasons, and I'm keeping them close to the vest for now.

    http://extremeconceptspaintball.com (Mansfeild, TX)
    http://funontherunpaintball.com/ (Fort Worth, TX)

both of these feilds are within an hour from DFW(or damned close) both have good feilds that are easily photographable... both also have walkon play on the weekends and hyperball(hyperball/barrel at FOTR as well) and Airball at EC, they also have rec feilds, I havnt tried these, but there there..... also both have sunday team pratices for 15 bucks( includes admission, alldayair and byop fee)

both great feilds and seemingly great owners... Ive played at both..and still do...

Ok, ok, so it is. But, umm, the necessity of the project depends on the field being "Easy" to get to.

Can I Get a list of these rles too? We all know them, ut nobody's ever written them down.

Paintball USA is a killer field...not sure if they have a website, but if you're in Houston, it's THE place to go.

in the dallas area my first choice is Fun on the Run. thats in fort worth, its about 45 mins from DFW airport and is super easy to get to. other choices would be fort paintball. thats where we have our dallas AO meets. its about 30-40 mins from dfw and higher on the difficulty to find scale from fotr. my third choice would be official paintball of texas. this field is slightly over an hour from dfw and is getting way up the hard to find scale. the fourth field on my list would be extreme concepts paintball. this is the smallest of the fields i listed and also has the smallest walk on crowd. its about 45 mins from dfw and is easy to get to, but at the same time easy to get lost going there. (if you miss your exit, may the good lord help you ). i have played all of these fields and for the most part they all offer a wide variety of playing options. lmk if you would like some pics of these places or what not.

Yea, I just found this thread.....

Paintball USA in Houston meets all of your requirements. From IAH, take Beltway 8 to FM 249. Turn right and go up 3 exits to Grant Road. Turn left to Paintball USA. It has about 100 acres with lots of serious, multi-story forts, bases, octagons, along with numerous speedball fields or one great big final battle speedball field. (Yes, it will handle 1000 people)

If you intend on filming, I'd highly recommend coming down for a scenario.

BTW, you can stay at my place (about 2/3 of the way between the airport and the field). We have a spare room. It even has a comfy bed.... and a bathroom.....and a closet.... and it's right next door to my computer, in case you get a midnight urge...... to check AO forums. :)

Also, I have an idea for a film segment.

Is that a ditch behind me?

                    I'm old... I'm slow...
And I can't see very well...
Is this gun I borrowed any good?
