AO CO/MTN West Meet 3.0

Food for thought...

Last october the guys at www.playpaintballcolorado.com orgainzed a giant game of Colorado vs Wyoming held in the woods just west of Cheyenne.

I was there, it was a blast. They had plenty of CO2 fills for the 150 people who showed, but you HPA guys would have been left in the cold. They are also expecting a much bigger crowd this year too...

I know they are planning on doing it again around May this year, and they are trying to get a commercial feild in on the mix too. This is also in the planning phases, but just thought I'd toss it out there. Border Wars might go well with the whole "Mountain Meet" theme.

Hmm well are they flexible on the date at all? Or do they even want to try to have a combined event? That'd be cheaper, we could get a field to provide hpa fills and chip in for a pallet of paint. Might even be able to wrangle a speedball field from someone.

Would you mind asking em?

Good idea Koosh. This would pay off especially if we don't go in on the senario. Keeping costs down is always a concern.

Of course, deep in my little heart, I still dream about seeing how many AOers we can collect to our own meet.

We are all about supporting road trips for paintball!

The CPC folks are set on the May date for their Border War. So, it's not going to budge. What we need to decide is if we are going to:

1. Move our meet to be with them or,

2. Forge ahead on our own meet in July (mid to late).

My vote is for #2. My school doesn't let out until late May, so the Border War is going to cause trouble for school-work.

Everyone weigh in on this one please!

BTW: Prezents and Magking1979 would you guys mind taking the lead on coordinating with anyone else from your respective states? Once we get the date nailed down we promote this more.

Even though i'm new to this topic, my vote would be for the independant meet. At least see if enough people can be mustered. Ya got me on board so that's one more name to add to the pile.

So the July 10th Scenario at Action Pursuit Paintball, in Greeley Colorado sound good? You guys may know APP as the place where the Highlander Viking was born. Anthony is also well known for giving out TONS of prizes at his scenario events too... Last year they gave out an eblade, a Viking, Timmy, and a BUNCH of other stuff too... I went to 3 events and won 2 barrels, a Stiffi and an Aradus... which wasn't too bad.

Check out www.actionpursuitpaintball.com fo their site... they have a semi-active forum too, Anthony will answer any questions you have in a timely manner there too.

No sweat on updating the image. I was holding off until we had the hard facts (date, location, etc.) and then including them in the image. But, after reflection... a little "click here" won't hurt anyone.

Lynch has a nice setup (when it isn't closed down for fire violations), but I would rather see us play outside and enjoy the Colorado enviroment. Hell, New Yorkers can play indoors.

Idea: keep both the woodsers and speeders and those of us that like both happy, how's about the July scenario Saturday, then AO speedball at Anthony's new indoor field Sunday? Best of both worlds, more days = more fun... win /win situtation!

As for the month, I can go anytime but April.
Paintball on sat and sun? Can we play with hang-overs?
The whole weekend is fine and I don't care if we play woods or speedball, I suck at both anyway
