I'm not sure if I'd play at a field... maybe I would if it was enough people, or just to meet other automag owners. I'll think about it. I usually play exclusively woodsball with 6-10 others in the area.

My daughter turned 10 and I promised to take her, so I need to go at some point. I don't own any markers anymore, though.

Where would we want to throw together another AO-VA? We seemed to have a much bigger turnout up at Pevs. But I think Richmond has the most convenient location, yeah?

As for playing in VA, I'd travel wherever to meet up. Central VA has the benefits of being within a decent driving range of a lot of states... Maryland, Delaware, Tennessee, West VA, and the Carolinas. If we played in Central VA, I'm not sure where we'd play though. Splatbrothers has a nice field, but the only negative is that they are a field paint only facility and the paint they used last summer was Stinger I believe, and it shot decent in my mag but it wasn't the highest quality. Anyways, please PM me if anyone puts this together.

That place looks pretty good, especially compared to other places in the Fredericksburg area.

And a lot of people are talking about a "central location." Richmond may be the geographical center, but it may not be the practical center. If most Virginian AOers are from upper VA, then host the game up there.

Well our first ever AO-VA was at Pevs @ AG (http://www.agpaintballgames.com/news.php Oh they have a new website now, too. Fancy!). It was a blast. We had a really high turnout and no serious gun problems (AO-VA2... ). Even had some people from NC and MD show up (I think that's why we re-named it AO-Mid Atlantic). Pevs also had a much easier time accomodating all of us since it's a lot larger than Splat Bros. near Richmond.

it actually wasnt the first, but one of the biggest. I'm thinking towards the end of summer early fall for when i will try and organize it. unless of course someone else wants to run it.

We should start planning this out. If we find the right time we might get a large turnout. I know a lot of people like the fall because it's cooler, but the younger crowd is back in school/college so maybe end of summer? Also, if we get the word out we might get a good turnout from all the surrounding states and even get a field to host it as our own AO day there. Just a suggestion.. let's see what kind of interest we can generate!

Since AO South is November 3rd we should probably aim for a time before that. September at the latest? Possibly Labor Day weekend?

Is anyone else planning on going to AO South, anyway?
