      some relevant info:

prizes. the sponsors are all giving prizes. There is a roughly 2000 prize package out there. We may be adding more as we go...we'll have to see

cost: $500 / team. You'll get the regular things every other team gets, free open speedball, player pass, players package, etc.

                RULES ARE UP!

This 50sq mile thing needs to be explained a little better...

Coaching in finals but not prelims? ghey... coaching sucks.

                  Fred,

The 50 mile means that you can not field a 5 man team from people in the same town who have been playing together for years. It a way to make sure that the playing field is level and that it is truly an internet owners group pickup team.

Fan coaching is prettyh interesting as the player doesn't always know who to beleive and not believe...I do find it odd that they are only allowing it in the finals...but it will add that extra excitment.

I guess that means that we need to start getting organized with teams so we can register.

Who wants me on their team ? I own an e-mag

Truthfully i have always thought the IAo prices are ridiculously high, i know this is keeping me and the IOG from the tourney hopefully we can get some factory backing, if not we may be screwed.... I mean if you think about it these are not pre set teams we will be meewting each other at IOG, how is a newly formed never played together team supposed to get Factory Sponsorship, its gottta be impossible!!

Regardles hope to see you all at the event!!

OK... i don't see the prices as being that bad, but it may get a little tight since its kinda close to Shatnerball.

Anyhoo... I play Front, shoot a warped retro ULE, and have a Blue AO Hex jersey... who wants me on their team?

BTW: Players HAVE to have a marker of their owners group, so basically AOers without mags are hosed...

coaching: we all know it adds a little spice to a game. For the finals, when we're all getting down to the nitty gritty, lets draw a few spectators in and see if that can change anything. Give a little help here and there.

entry: entry is about $100 less than normal five man this year. Paint is set, and will be aroaund $80 for a case of blaze.

yeh, the 50 sq mi rule is simply saying that if three people live within a 50sq mi circle, then they are not going to be allowed to be on a team. it is to prevent teams, as muz said, who practice together every weekend from calling themselves an owners group

gpep, its not too insaine that you would get sponsorship. Some OG div teams have in the past, and some are expecting it this year. write a good letter to NPS and see what turns up. NPS is a huge sponsor of the IAO

fred, sadly, yes. if you're an AOer and arn't using a mag, then unfortunately, you can't play on the Automags.Org team.
