I live in Union City, a scant 5 minute drive from Operation Paintball. I really only use their proshop, since playing on the indoor fields is usually an exercise in futility. Ends up being not enough room when you cram that many players onto a tiny field. But where else can you play some ball on a Friday night?

Still haven't been to SCP, but I'll be at Crossfire in Manteca for the first time this weekend. Extreme's always good (when it's not 99 degrees in Modesto) and Paintball Jungle and Sherwood Forest are great for wooded play (read: there's shade).

Sunol's got a decent field just off the 680. Nice for me cause it's 15 min away, and the staff are nice people.

I'm always in that "So many places to play at, so little time" paradigm. Kinda nice, actually. I still need to get out to Venture. And Bear Creek. And SCP. And KAPP. And TAG. Dammit.

EDIT: Speaking of indoor, anyone remember Danger Zone in Newark, accross from the Newpark Mall? They musta closed down 10 years ago?

I remember them. I bought my F2 Illustrator from them. I blew a lot of money on very expensive paint there, but had lots of fun.

There are a couple options near Jack London Square which has a lot of restaurants etc... In terms of apartments they are probably one of the better locations you will find in Oakland...

This is close to your limit, but nice...

This seems a little more affordable...

I found all that in about five minutes... You can look around www.apartmentguide.com for more.

Doesn't Oakland have one of the highest murder rates in the country? I just know that my friends are from Oakland and one of my friends got jumped at gun point for his jacket in Oakland. The place is pretty hard, but I guess you just got to get used to it. Oh yea...GO A's....

Thanks Curly, it'll be a pleasure to chill with you sometime. How old are you Oaklanders? I'm 23, so i'll definately be wanting to see how the "scene" is.

just cross the bay bridge and come and live in Marin, doesnt get safer then back here.
I Thought Richmond had a slightly higher murder rate then oakland , i may be wrong...oh well they are only a few minutes apart.

wow 2 G's a month, you will probably be able to find somthing with that kinda budget.

2 g's sounds like a lot, but in the bay area it really doesnt go all that far. It will be plenty to get a decent place though.

Best advice is to move to Fremont/Union City/Newark/Hayward. Or even to Pleasanton. You'll be a little further away, but it gets a lil a cheaper. Plus, you'll be more in the 'middle' of everything, which is the best reason to live in these places.
