Hey guys, i am thinking about pushing this to mid october 17, and have this turn into an AO of the Southern states day (and those mary's from Maryland:)). Splatbros would be perfect because of it's size, and we can try and get AO'ers from serounding states. If yall think this is a good idea, i'll arrange for hotel rooms etc... and i'll pm phil and get him to sticky it to the top of the home page.

Just received an email invite from thecavemankevin for the October AO-VA gathering. Sounds like fun to me. I don't know how much help this is... but one of my teammates (Trapper) calls the SplatZone his "home" field and often head refs for them. I'll keep an eye on this thread for news as it happens. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH SPLAT BROS

ok, just talked to Donn of splatbros, They will be closed on Oct 3, so he recomended Oct 10 the following sunday. He will allow us to BYOP (which is NOT a normal rule there). Or we can buy paint there too (Zap starting at 55). Field addmission with all day air is 20 (or 25 if you have to rent, but you shouldn't....even if you don't have enough gear, ask us and i am sure we can scrounge up an extra gun or two).

If you need to spend the night, the hotel best suited is the Ameri Suites located at the intersection of I-295, and Rt 10 (the field is located off of Rt 10 about 10-15 minutes away from the hotel). They have an outdoor heated pool that will be available. All rooms are suites (so they have a kitchenet). Rooms sleep 6 people (2 per bed). Splatbro's contact is Monica Beasley at (804)530-4600. This is the hotel that houses the campers for the Ronn Stern paintball camps, and she told me that the campers like to bring their Xbox'es and have Halo parties and stuff......so thats not a bad idea. The normal room rate is $99, however for splatbros it is $79, so if you call to book be sure and speak with Monica and mention splatbros etc..... I have not blocked any rooms, however i can once we get closer and have a better idea of attendence.

I would like a tentative RSVP by Sept 12 (one month prior). And SOLID by two weeks prior Sept 26th


If we are all in agreance over the date of Oct 10, then i will make a post in the general forum for AO mid atlantic meet and have phil tac it up.

I will also try and get Ronn Stern (a fellow emag user) to commit to being there. and if i can get him there, i imagine getting Josh of PB2X out there shouldn't be to difficult (we will probably just have to promise him that he will get lucky.....so ho, you might have to take one for the team )
