    New to AO

    Hi all,

I am new to the forum, I have been playing paintball for about 5 years, just getting off of a one and a half year break from it, because of moving to another state. I shoot a Minimag and I am pretty brand loyal to AGD, but as I am beginning to notice is that AGD is becoming pretty scarce from online retailors and stores. I have heard two rumors in regards to this, first is that AGD is slowly going to the wayside and possibly out of business(God I hope not!), and the second is that AGD is re-vamping their products so much that they are not putting out anything new to retailors until most of the older model gear is gone. Can anyone shed some light on this subject?

Also I now live in eastern KY, if anyone can recommend any good fields that would be great, I play both tourny and rec.

Welcome to AO... I don't live in your area, but I believe www.warpig.com has a field locator guide. It's not always up to date or excellent, but it should help you get a start on things. Pbnation is also good for questions like this.

BTW, nice name. It's the only book in English Lit this year that I was able to tolerate and dare I say, like.

      Here's the deal with AGD.

For now, at least, they're going the way of scenario. They've released the Tac-One (not a "mag," and I'll get to that in a second) to appeal to scenario and milsim types. Tom feels that right now that makes the most sense for AGD, with all the electro troubles everybody's been having. Also, Tom's trying to phase out the "mag" name as he feels it's just got a bad rep overall. As AGD releases new products, such as the Tac-One, they won't include anything "mag" in the name. So I guess you could say they're taking a bit of a hiatus right now, but AGD is nowhere near dead!!
