2005 NorCal vs SoCal Date Planning

OK guys, I have been getting emails now and then all through last year and this year (so far) about interest in the NorCal vs SoCal AO DayMinefields. The benefits of this should be fairly obvious.

There WILL be all day air, designated reffing and most important, saftey netting around to keep us all safe. I am well on the way to sorting out the details of the event but the big one that I come to you AO for advice on is:

There is no way I can avoid everything but I think that this is the best time to do this. There is still about 2 months of time to plan this and it should not be hard once a date is set. Ill give this a few days and make the call. Get them votes in!

Unfortunately, my school district is retarded. They decided to put standardized testing on that week, and pushed spring break back to the end of March. Doh.

OK I voted for the first week end of April. Rumor control has it there may be another scenario on Ft Ord at the end of April. This might give enough time to recover and get to enjoy that game

I can make it to either the first or second date, middle one might be harder.

I can definately do the first two dates. Though I would prefer the 8-10. My trackteam is going to Reno on that first weekend. It aint Vegas, but you still get some shiney lights. Well that and the whole alcohol and gambling routine. I'm definately down for the 2nd date.

i voted the 1st through 3rd. its the last 3 days of my spring break. i asked my parents if i could go and my mom said yes (she was secretly planning to take me and my bro to some big scenario game on spring break). so i guess i now know which one.

where is it? how much would paint, admission, and air fills cost?

i gotta start saving my money and cut down on playing

Unless its changed this is a bring your own paint. Air shouldnt be more than 10 all day, Its located at breakout's mindfields in paso robles (my native field). Admission last year was no more than $20. THis is kinda the events main page. Hope to see you there

Pretty much right on. Since the event will be at a preexsisting field, the cost for all day air and admission will be low (I am working out special nice prices for us). I am hoping (and suspect) we will have the place 100% to ourselves. The event WILL be BYOP but of course Breakout will have paint avaialbe (no prices or what paint known yet). I think that is the single greatest aspect of this event. Nothing raises the cost like field paint only eh?

Other than that, other details like getting special rates at 1 hotel that will be chosen as the "AO Hotel" and figuring out the food arrangements. While I will get you all special rates for the hotel I am not going to be involved in the money aspect of it. It will be your responsability to call up and get your rooms or stay with friends or whatever you choose.

Lastly I am trying to figure out the best way to arrange for how to pay for all this. It would be nice to be ale to PayPal me/Breakout but I am not sure how best to do it to minimize fees and transfer crap and all that.

Anyhow first things first. Vote! I will have to make the call by next week I think if not sooner.

zak- are you sure its BYOP? on the site, it says all paint must be bought at the field.
