AO MD - Unofficial AO Day

Sprye Bane of Baltimore, Maryland, invites all paintball players to join us in an unofficial AO day at Anne Arundel Paintball Park on Sunday, March 6, 2005.

We don't have any special deals with AAPP for paint or entry fees, so this is "unofficial".

The field sports Air Ball, Speed Ball and Woods Courses.

If you have any questions, please post them here, and I will answer them starting on Monday, Feb 21, as I will be out of town this weekend.

Sorry about the date, but it is good for the rest of the team. We'll do it again, sometime soon.

Bah spring break won't be in country. I'll have to check out the field though some time. Have any other recomendations of fields in maryland that are worth going to, the only one I found I like so far is in Tannytown (sp?).

We have also played Outdoor Adventure in Bowie, and really like the large scenario games they host. We managed to play the Corn Maze in Pennsylvania, last year, and had a great time. Unfortunately, they only run that game for one weekend, and it is in November.

Beyond that, we are always looking for new fields to try out. There has been talk of trying out Pev's in Virginia, and Robin Hood Paintball near Aberdeen.

I live about 10 mininutes from Robin Hood Paintball, I have not been there in about 4 or 5 years, when I did go however they were the two worst paintball days I have ever experienced, the place was a dump. However I have heard that they have made alot of progress and really cleaned up the facility, so I guess ill have to give it another shot.

If you haven't played at Anne Arundel Paintball Park yet you should go on March 6th with us cause its a good time waiting to happen. And speaking as one of the members of Sprye Bane and from going to Anne Arundel Paintball Park about once a month its not a bad field. I think it has about three speed ball, one air ball, and about five to seven woods ball, so it has alot of something for everyone. The only problem with it is that not enough woods ball players go. Hope as many people from AO that can go will go.

A couple of more things. If we can locate enough people, we can convince the management of AAPP to allow us run of all of the woods courses. That will create a "small scenario" playfield.

Since signatures have been turned off, I need to add that the SFL Emag, Chimera, will be there. In addition to a couple of Emags, a Tac One and a couple of warpfeed ULEs. This is a great time to try out other types of Mags.

Please tell me that there are more than 3 AOers besides Sprye Bane in Maryland. We would like to start getting together for an unofficial AO Day about once every three months. If there is enough interest, I will start working on deals with the local fields for discounts.

AO Marylanders please speak up. I'm willing to do the leg work to make this happen, but if there are only 3 plus the 8-10 of Sprye Bane, we may not have enough to make it worth the field owners talking to us.

                      Thanks for reading my rant,

                      Ty

I'm definetely down for making this a regular event... It's just that I'm getting married on the 12th of March, and just settled on a house today, leaving me with too much on my plate to make it to this round... Hit me up next time...

                        Have fun...

Why don't you bring the wife to be alone with you it will help to releave some of the stress of getting married so you don't snap at the altar. But if you can't realy make it we will understand and will see you the next time around if not on March the 6th.

I have much stuff to move into the house... If, for some reason, I am able to come, I'll be there, but the chances are slim...
