...MY favorite 1st person shooter...Descent 3!...Anyone think they got skills?

I really liked descent 2. haven't seen descent 3. With a fancy joystick the controls for 2 didn't seem that bad. Are there more in 3?

Yeah i rember playing descent back in the day but im not much of a gamer ....i really liked it back then though..ill definatly give it a go....and the only computer games i ever played was all the mechwarrior series and flight sims. so im use to playing with alot of key,s but like i said i dont really play video games anymore so skill is probably dog meat.

Unfortunatly i just tore up my ankle trying a nollieheel down a 4-flat-3 but then it might give me that practice time on the videogame tip so i can up my skill level to "pushover". ha haha...my ankle hurts......it will be goog by AO day though.

Sorry I have been silent guys, my, my DSL was down for the last 2 days. Getting caught up...

The Descent series sorta died off after #3. I guess it just could not compete with the more popular Quake and UT series games of the time.

Having said that though, Desent 3 was a LARGE jump from 1 and 2 (2 being sort of a repackages 1). The rendering was a large jump is quality (though its more on the ho hum levels of todays stuff) and the addition of several new ships was well as 100's of multiplayer maps really boosted the games network play IMO. Of course the single player is stil near impossible. I have yet to get past lvl 3 without dying...

Z-man, my nephew has a video company www.secondratefilms.com he has one movie out already and one that is just about ready to release. He may be interested in filming the event for video release. If you think that this is cool let me know and I will contact him to see if he is interested. I have already mentioned filming these type of events to him and he seemed interested. Go to the website and check out his trailer. The movie, "Mini Chaos" has had worldwide release and is very popular in the UK and Europe. His company is the real deal. I think it could add a new dimension to his company as well as well bring more recognition and interest to these events.
