Sac Pump Day XXIV - Sun, April 24th - 2 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Sacramento Pump Day XXIV -- DATE: Sunday, April 24th

    ------------------------

    ANNOUNCEMENTS:
Well everyone, 2 years have passed us by, and this game is the two year anniversary. Peter and I have had a complete blast hosting these pump days for two years now, never missing a month, and never getting rained on *knock on wood*. We hope to have many days to come! Sac Pump day these past two years has brought together pump players from all over the state and country to play on Peter's home built field. We've had players from San Francisco, Sonoma, Guerneville, Corona, LA, Yuba City, Redding, Tahoe, and from as far away as Utah, Massachusets, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada! It's great to have met you all and to have had the chance to shoot you and get shot by you.

We know there are quite a few out there who have heard of us, and want to come play a day, well, if you're ever planning a trip to California for ANY reason what so ever, LET US KNOW, we can plan far in advance to schedule Pump Day on a date to accomidate you...we've done it in the past!

Also, from now on, I'm going to try to have a clip board out at Pump Day next to the "Donation Pod" with a spreadsheet you can fill out with your name and e-mail address. That way I can add you to a mailing list for future pump day announcements (which will almost alway be before its posted on any forums), and other important news. I will also accept e-mails sent to [email protected] asking to be added to the list since I know some of you don't always get a chance to visit the forums.

We hope to see you guys all out here for PD-24 its gonna be a total blast!

    Your Gracious Hosts,
    - Tim "FirePro84" Firpo
    - Peter "WharfRat" Simpson

    SACRAMENTO PUMP DAY
For over 2 years now, we've had a Pump Day once a month, every month, averaging anywhere from 2 - 30 people each day. The field has changed regularly over this time to evolve to what we have today. It has many different bunkers and will accommodate up to 15 vs. 15 play. The field is a speedball-based field built out of plywood, Spools, Palates, and other items. Bunkers include 'T' bunkers, 'V' bunkers, a 'snake', Center '50', etc. There is also a tree line on one side we call the tunnel, providing good cover which is in play. Players can use this to sneak around the field and get to opposite 40 bunkers relatively un-noticed. Over the time we've played, the regulars have come up with names for many of the bunkers such as shower, house, wheelbarrow, gate, shovel, star king, Wigums bunker, and Tims bunker, after the safety orientation feel free to walk the field and ask one of us what is what.

do you guys play every weekend?? i am always looking to help out the local fields that are trying to start up. looks like you guys really take the time to make sure that everyone has a great time from looking at the pics from your site. if you guys are open to just some local sactown Mag-owners, then i am sure that after Norcal vs Socal, i could have a few guys come by.

we're not a "normal" field, we dont play there every weekend. Just once a month, every month to get our pump fix you might say...heh

the field was built with pump players in mind, and has evolved to what we have now over the 2 years we've been playing...its got small holes here and there for pump players to exploit and get some lucky shots through...it would be nice if we got an airball field, but it just wouldnt be the same as our original wood, palate, spool, and t-stake field...

we also dont charge any money what so ever to play, it all comes out of Peter's pocket and whoever is nice enough to donate to our cause, it does cost money to keep the CO2 and HPA tanks full, and for the food we serve at lunch, and to keep people who dont have guns in supply with what they need...which is one reason we dont play every weekend...

if we did charge money, it would be considered a business by the county and we would have to get special permits and paintball field specific insurance and put netting up around the whole field to protect the road that no one gets close enough to shoot at and other headaches like that, keeping it free and "private" prevents that, even though we put out an open invitation to anyone who wants to come play.

by all means! bring out your friends each month to play! we love having new guys come out and shoot it up with us! but remember its for pumps, and if you DONT have a pump gun, you can use one of ours for the day, and believe me, pete and I have QUITE enough between us to outfit two 10 man teams including alternate players and back up guns, hehe...

if you are bringing out a large group of people who will be needing guns though, please e-mail me first to let me know that way i can get them all up and make sure they're working before the weekend...

if you would like to be added to the mailing list for pump day announcements, just let me know here or send me an e-mail at [email protected] requesting it...i'll usually send a message out to everyone on the list before i actually post it anywhere on the forums, and this gives you guys a chance to get a heads up if you dont always check the forums.

hope to see ya out here!
