AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I live near the poconos. I'm always looking for more people to join up with us. I mainly play at Skirmish (Jim Thorpe), LVP Indoor X-ball(Emmaus), and Stonemak Indoor speedball(Berwick). Never got the chance to play at Destination Earth was invited a long time ago but wasnt able too. I've also played a small field at some go kart place near you. Anyway I'll most likely be playing at skirmish this sunday and I'll be heading out to LVP on the 30th for my B-Day. If you are interested in coming let me know. THey guys and ladies I ball with like to play hard but keep it fun. Most of use are refs and work or have worked at skirmish before.
The World's Premier Paintball Facility. Skirmish Paintball is home to over 50 of the best paintball maps on the planet. 700+ acres in the Pocono Mountains.
I am not a fan of skirmish, its to expensive and I have had some bad experiances with some of the refs. Stonemark is quite a drive for me, I have been meaning to play at LVP but weekdays are to buisy for me with work and school. When are you goin to LVP on a weekend, I will come if you go on a weekend. I was plaining on playing at Destination Earth on April first as long as its not raining or cold.
Hey Chris,
Stroudsburg, eh? I grew up in Matamoras to the north of you, half my high school went to college at ESU.
I live in Allentown, PA now - LVP isn't bad. It's primary weakness is that it's small - only 2 indoor speedball fields (which do nothing for me, I'm a die-hard woods player). The store is pretty good though, and the guys who run it are pretty cool.
Other than that, most of the fields I really enjoy I've had to travel to, and usually only do it for big games (I'll be hitting 3 26 hour games this summer). EMR is real good, but about 1.5-2 hours from you near Scranton. I've also just started going to USANA in NJ, which is another real nice field but is about 2 hours from where I am and likely a bit more than that for you. Next Sunday I'll be trying out Cousins Paintball in NJ for a day game to get rid of winter's cobwebs and try out my new Tac-1 - not sure how far that is from you though as I'm still unsure how to get there myself.
Not sure that helped any, but I hope so

Reason: forgot to mention where EMR was, for reference

I am goin to be at Destination Earth next saturday, thats about 45 mins from you in if you want to dust off your cobwebs at a place a little closer and cheaper you are more then welcome to join me. I go on saturdays b/c traditionaly saturdays more people show up. Destination Earth isn't like any of the field you mentioned it's more like a bunch of friends playing woodsball, I have know the owner for about 7 years and we are good friends, so I play for free and ref for him when he needs me to (which is evertime i go). The only down fall is that it attracks NY and NJ tourist that dont play often and I am getting tired of mowing then I want to get my a$$ kicked for a change....haha....
I would love to go all over PA and NJ to play but none of my good friends play, and my friends at D.E. never want to go anywere other then D.E., this summer I am just goin to start goin places by my self, screw them...lol.
As far as next sunday, I have to watch my spending until May I just bought a house and my wife would kill me if I spend $100, when I can play for almost nothing at D.E.

Let me know.........
Chris
Oh really do you remember the refs names? and what happened if you care to share? IDK if this makes a difference, but LVP opens at 5pm thats the main reason why I go. Weekends are hard for me, but we do go the LVP on sundays here and there. I'll let you know when we do. Also do you prefer woods or speedball or do you like both.

Can't blame you for playing at a place which charges less, I'd do the same if I had the opportunity. Sadly, this week I have other plans I can't get out of, but I'll keep the name of the field in mind for later. If you're interested in a good big game this summer, I highly recommend the one talked about in this thread:

I dont know the refs name, I dont want to get into the details but he SCREAMED at me when I was cronoing b/c I wasn't wearing my mask, so I started shuting down my electro marker and he didnt under stand that my marker didnt have a manual saftey and that I had to shut the electronics down so I dont mistakingly shot someone. He just got right in my face about it, so I got back in his face trying to tell him I am shutting the gun down and to hold on. I understand he is just doin his job I ref to but he didnt need to scream at me at get in my face right off the bat.
Beleive it or not I have never played a field with air bunkers before the field I go to has "speedball" field and a woodsball field and thats it, I really want to try it that why I want to go to LVP, and b/c is close to me.

I am planning on making it to castle conquest.... It is a few hours of driving for me (coming from pittsubrgh) but should be rather close to you... Being that my normal paint ball buddy (my 19 year old baby brother) is not sure if he is going I am looking for people to meet up and shoot around with... I will not be playing with a Mag but I will have my blazer there..
should be great fun
