AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I went down there and talked to the guys tonight.
the city's sending them packing...
there's going to be a small x ball sized field outside of the bingshop in st. charles. the edwardsville bingshop is expanding, but no field.
the colosseum proper will begin looking for a new building and if they can't find one...they may build (economically feasible???)
they're saving all the turf, bunkers and gear for the new location.
they should be operating through august (perhaps not at full capacity)
/i'm hooked on that uapl style field, and i don't know why. I'm fat and slow, but i love that small fast field.
//we should start planning for an ao day at the end of summer
Shives, the bing shop (I belive, I havnt actually been there) is a pro shop. As far as the colosseum goes, it really wasnt a bad place at all. Everyone there was friendly, I didnt hear alot of cussing, or any "agg" kiddies talking smack. Then again since me and 3Dsteve had mags, we was warned that we was playing in an"experienced skirmish." 3DSteve just said "O'rly, and how long have you been playing?"
3DSteve, thanks for finding out where there new temp field is going to be. Hopefully they will find a new building and be able to open back up. I have found a old walmart down here that has been empty for several years now, that I have been thinking about checking into....
Good luck getting an old Walmart building. They tend to keep a tight reign on their properties. After they force all the other retailers out, they like to keep them from coming back in. That being said, so long as my Walmart stock is doing well, I don't care

Shives
Actually the building im looking at was a walmart a long time ago (one of the first), since they built a new walmart its been several other stores and I know it is for lease. I am still debating on wether or not there is enough demand in the area to put up that kind of risk.
