    Looking for location

I am new to this forum, so i hope i have placed my question in the correct topic area.
I live in Fountain Valley, California. I have two kids, ages 12 & 10 who are looking foreward to starting & learning about paintballing. My question is:
is there a location/business where i can take my kids to not only see others in action, but that also rents their equipment out. I say rent, because...before i make the investment, i want to be sure they will actually enjoy their experience once they have had an opportunity to actually experience the joy of being shot.
Thereafter, if they are still enthusiastic, i will ask for help in chooseing their first weapons & gear.
Anything with an 1/2 hour to 1 hrs drive would seem reasonable from my zip code 92708.
    Thanks so much

    welcome to the forum.

I cant help you with a place to start, the places I know are a little farther away than you'd want to drive. I'm sure someone on here will help you though.

As far as watching others play, there is a paintball tournament in San Bernadino next weekend, if you want to see it at a really competitive level.

Do you know anything about the sport/ have you played? That might help us out with helping you out. Renting is a good idea, some kids dont care for the sport, especially at a younger age. On the other hand, one of the kids I regularly play with is 12 and he tears it up out there and plays every chance he gets.

Just be careful how you introduce the to the sport. If possible, find a feild that is friendly to new players. There are people out there who like to take advantage of new players, and it can ruin the experience bad enough that they dont want to play again. If you weren't so far from me I'd invite you to come and play at our renegade feil, I have a few extra guns and the guys I play with are a good group.

I'm rambling now, stick around, you'll find te help you need here.

csacfa, go to pbreview.com, and click paintball fields at the top. Find your state, then once you click on your state enter your zip code from above. It looks like you have a decent amount of choices. There are 4 fields around 25 miles from you.

        Welcome!
I might be setting up a private group here shortly at SCVillage (quasi close) and if it works out I'll let you know. I have friend/family and some coworkers that go just for fun, various ages and abilities. I'll keep you posted.

          Thanks

Wow, i'm really very impressed by how friendly you all have been. Thank you: geekwarrier, malystryx & dsrkd for being not only informative, but for your kindness in inviting me & my kids. I will visit the on-line site, and will do my best to go next weekend to San Bernardino. Thanks for the heads up on the aggression with some players, my 12 year old especially might take exception to such tactics.
