    Sorry No clue

If memory serves me right Zak set things up for Norcal vs SoCal.

We'd need a local in the Cantral Cali area who's familiar with the fields and willing to work with all kinds of folks to find out what kind of lodging and where we'd play.

Anybody got someone or some ideas? I wouldn't mind heading up to one of these.

edit: ok I remember being up in central cali near fresno for Paranoid Paintballs big game.

Not that bad of a trip, me shrub and piranti went, took us about 4 hours to get there from the Inland Empire.

And it's almost right smack dab in the middle of California.

      AO-2006

This was set up last year and there was a very low turn out. I had fun playing but there were only a few AO people there, I think.

I am way into doing it again.

Hopefully it can happen! Count me and at least two more in!

My suggestion has always been... have this twice a year. Once in NorCal, once in SoCal. Since its local for at least one or the other, its much easier to find hotels at good prices, get deals at a local field that the players go to often, and should be more of a turnout since its local for one of them.

At worst, its a great paintball road-trip for one group.
        Rogue is right.

After Zak and Ryan moved away, there hasn't been any 'rea' interest in one.

If you managed to get everyone's attention, and I'm talk about the core guys, you could get a nice NorCal Socal thing going.

I'm talking like LPB, Ricker, Aegis, Carbon, Steelrat, Zak, etc etc.

If I had the time/money, I would DEFINATELY show up.

          I thought splats closed down?

Heard from some of the locals that they decided to close the pro-shop.

            Well for now we'll see.
I'd like to set one up but the logistics of the thing is what bothers me. Setting the date where everyones happy is going to be the big point of contention. The field would have to be big enough to accomodate us and be mag friendly. Does NorCal crew want to start this up or should SoCal go 1st? I'm thinking this should be somewhere in northern LA or outskirts of the area. And to help make things easier, how about we setup a meet during a Big Event thats happening like a Scenario day or something? I know some of you guys are hard core speedballers but rolling in force as Automags.Org would be shocking and good PR for AGD and infect everyone with the disease of Mag Whoreing.

Yea there is another place up there in Paso Robles and they have a field in the hills. Not sure if they are still around but when I lived there last year they still had the field open and the guy who works there is a real good guy and a Mag Lover. Sorry that's all that I remember about that place.

For now Splats is closed. There is a good field in Lemoore, CA, plenty of lodging at the new hotel on the Casino premises and plenty of players. Easy enough to get to as well.

Last years died because of the weekend. It was on the same weekend as a big tournament in San Jose.

Pick a weekend and let me see some interest and I'll contact the field owner and see what we can set-up.

                  plan well!

                  Good observations guys.

Avoid any dates that would be the same as a major event/tourney date. A lot of guys tend to go just to watch those.

In contrast, if there is an open event (huge scenario day/special holiday when everyone has the day off) you can probably have a really good turnout of AO guys.

We could very well do that. Norcal can register as a team on one side (if they're not already on one) and SoCal can go to the other side.

I say since the South seems to have more continuity, have it down there. Me and at least two others will make the trip.

I used to live in Burbank so that drive is nothing to me.

Make it sometime in April, take a poll. Do it after the 15th so no one can use "Tax Time" as an excuse.

Yeah I was a little disappointed last year. I did get a good day of playing though just not with AO ppl. It was a shame to because Jay from splats was working really hard at get things for us only to have it fall through at the end.
