    German 6th FJR Recruiting - Oklahoma D-Day, 2008

Well, since Steve Riskin mentioned us in the 82nd recruiting thread, we might as well start.....

Having 180 slots, 6th FJR "Green Devils" are looking for the best players and scenario teams to join our ranks.

Mission: Stop the Allied Airborne from reaching their objectives and act as the Quick Reaction Force for the German side.

Tactics: Ambushes, raids, direct action missions and patrolling. Although we're based on a WWII German unit, the Green Devils run more like a modern day US Army Ranger Regiment.

Organization: 20 Different Teams making up 4 Battalions with a Heavy Weapons Platoon operating Double Troubles. The unit has space for walk-ons, small teams and entire scenario teams. This year, Wolf Guard, Band of Brothers, BOHICA, and Identity Crisis were some of the teams that made up the unit's backbone. Rest assured you'll be slinging paint next to your buddies and experienced woodsballers, not a bunch of noobs.

To join the 6th, you must complete the Paratrooper Readiness Assessment Course given the Friday before the main game. During the week leading up to the main game, we'll provide unit training that includes ambush techniques, patrolling, tank support, and other immediate action drills specifically designed for Woodsball. You'll take the field with confidence and leave the game with a victory as well as knowledge of advanced paintball skills that will enhance your everyday play.

In its two years of existence, the 6th FJR has developed a reputation as being an aggressive, solid unit that can stand toe to toe with units twice their numbers and give a good accounting of itself. If this sounds like the type of woodsball you want to play, the 6th is the place for you.

The 6th is also looking for some experienced leaders at the BN level.. If interested, PM 00Buckshot or myself (Staticline). We would love to discuss all available options.

Do something different next year at Oklahoma D-Day: Be a German Paratrooper in the 6th Fallschirmjager - "Green Devils!"

By the way Steve, the 6th WILL find you

Wicked, this is for OK D-Day, not Skirmish ION. We'd love to see you at OK D-Day, so consider this your invitation to come on down to Oklahoma for a great week of paintball and general mayhem.

I can vouch for the 6th FJ. They are one tough group, excellent players and outstanding guys (with a few females too). Come on, Static, don't forget to tell the saga of Victor Ridge. However, you know you will only find Steve after the Geisterjagers have finished with him.

Ah Victor Ridge. You mean the time that the 6th stood against the stacked elements of 82nd and the 101st and turned the forest orange? Probably the most intense stand by an outnumbered unit (approx 80 against 300-400 players) that I have ever seen. I think we went through 20 smoke canisters along with what the Allies utilized. That is what the 6th does....plays out numbered, maneuvers, uses small unit tactics).

Anybody can play on large numbered units. It takes courage and desire to play with the 6th. If this is what you look for in paintball, the 6th is the place for you.

Wicked, you need to get your games straight. This is OK D-Day, not ION. The 6th stayed on the field all day....as Riskin states in his thread, our reputation speaks for itself. When your enemies praise you....you are doing something right.

By the way, if you love to snipe....the GJ's are looking for you. PM Custar.

I know you know the difference since we have talked. I just wanted to make sure all others who read it are aware.

Static, thanks for the plug for the GJ. Now, let's see who has what it takes to run with the 6th. Get in now before it's too late.

LOL ... Dude those are AWESOME.

I wish I didn't miss this years game. I plan on being there next year. Working on a few teams as well for the next victory ridge.

I thought Risken was in a tent off the field all day??? Or was that Psycho??

Custar, I actually might take you up for a sniper position. I tend to work better on my own and under a lot of stress.

Good to hear from you, bro. PM'd you re: the e-Tac.

Now, listen up, one and all. You don't want to wait until the last minute to join up with an elite unit like this. If you're going to OK D-Day '08 and want to run with the FJ, contact Staticline NOW. A tremendous amount of planning is going on as I type, and you will want to be a part of it. Delay is your enemy.

Despite the Allied PR, this is where the Airborne tradition started. The 6th TRUELY does fight outnumbered at D-Day (2, sometimes 3 to 1). We DO NOT have armor, and the only "heavy weapons" we have are 2 DT's. If you TRUELY want to do something different....Go GERMAN Airborne....go the 6th FJR at D-Day.
