First of all, don't speak to me as if I'm 10. You have a son? Impressive...you can't even seem to formulate proper English, let alone incorporate it into something even remotely readable...

I'm 37 years old, have been playing paintball - most likely - since before you were even born. My first deer hunt was in 1982 and I have been wearing a Shield since 1991...so don't presume to denigrate me with your astoundingly immature undertones on ballistics of foreign objects or the potential capabilities of certain items. I have forgotten more than you even know...

The reball incident was at Berlin when Paul threw out the Reball vendor because of this. I was there.

There were reballs shot at Stalingrad. To my knowledge, no one was caught.

There were reballs AND marbles found at Normandy.

      * The fact that a bag of blue glass marbles was found on the beach is there.
      * The fact that there was a kid shot with one...and that it penetrated the outer fabric of a specops vest, the paint pod in the front pouch AND the hard-shelled body armor he was wearing, leaving a 4" welt is plenty proof of what I'm saying.
      * Several Allied players were escorted off the field for shooting hot markers (over 450 fps), a few of them for between 300 and 400 fps.
      * 2 of them arrested for the marbles.
      * The fact that there were only 110 refs for 4300 players made it seriously unsafe by ANY standard. That's a ~1:41 ratio of staff to player.

In college (20 years ago BTW), we learned that up to 20% of any given society is sociopathic. That is reaffirmed by our current prison populations.

With a field compliment of 4300 players, that means that anywhere up to 860 players are sociopathic. We're not talking about wiping and playing on anymore. These "retards" you refer to are out to do intentional harm to another human.

Afraid to be shot? Hardly. Afraid of being blinded for life? Absolutely.

Because of the mentalities of these morons...and apparently yours (as witnessed by your own juvenile bantor)...you'r attitude isn't too far from them either...I'll be taking my cuffs to the field from now on.

Since you've managed to take this topic way off course, I'll put it back on...

If you plan on going to this game...or any other Skirmish events...MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE you be careful NOT to be on the receiving end of any of what I mentioned.

Just because I type quickly WHILE AT WORK mind you means maybe I'm busy. It does not mean I am stupid. I saw at ion when you said there was no "ruffusdog balls" your flipping high I saw them personally at the booth ...... When it comes to the marbles I did not see them and agree thats complete bs. As you stated there are alot of sickos out there I on the other hand am not one. I am not as young as you think, I am 30 I do have Nix's (the young lady who was in charge of the game this year) info and I WILL check for you since you think this happened which it might have and the police would be the correct responce. As the threat of your cuffs which might be for me or them IT could be taken either way I welcome any further discussion on this or any other topic to be in personal msgs. The last 3 years of playing at skirmish was enjoyable (6 games stalingrad and ion) for me anyhow there were issues as expected in any game this size like understaffing, water alotment, food , paint and many more and to trash a company with no responce from owners is stupid....HENSE THE BANTER if you have a problem TAKE IT UP WITH THEM do you really think they read your little whines here... I THINK NOT

Not once did I post that there weren't Rufus balls at the event. I said that the reball vendor at Berlin was thrown off the property. To my knowledge, this was the first incident where foreign objects were being shot. Then I said that there were reballs shot at Stalingrad...but no one was "caught" doing so. Then I said that there were reballs and marbles at Normandy.
Perhaps you should skip the "speed-reading" and understand what's being said before you respond.

When it comes to the marbles I did not see them and agree thats complete bs.
I did. The bag was turned in by someone finding them on the field and players were turning them in to referees after they were shot with them. All of a sudden, reffs started showing up with hand held chronos.
As you stated there are alot of sickos out there I on the other hand am not one. I am not as young as you think, I am 30 I do have Nix's (the young lady who was in charge of the game this year) info and I WILL check for you since you think this happened which it might have and the police would be the correct responce.
Then your quasi-facetious responses should never have been posted, now should they? And don't bother with Nixx because I will sit back and watch it all unfold from the sidelines...all to say "I told you so"...
As the threat of your cuffs which might be for me or them IT could be taken either way
I meant that as a general statement...not directed solely at you. I've said it on the several forums I'm a member of...if I get shot with anything other than paint...and especially by an abnormally hot marker...there's going to be an arrest made...and I will affect it.
I welcome any further discussion on this or any other topic to be in personal msgs. I THINK NOT
...poor toilet facilities...disabled air stations, playing on and wiping...those are 'issues'....arresting 2 for shooting marbles out of 450+ fps markers is more than just an 'issue...'
I have made my observations known to them and I have been ignored. I'm fine with that but now I'm going to make sure others know it too. Call it what you want, "whining" implies that I'm only defending my own interests. I don't want to see anyone lose an eye because they didn't know about it. That's not "whining"...that's a public service announcement......

I'm glad you care enough to post such things but I want to see cold hard facts first before I make a judgement i.e. an arrest report or a newspaper article they probably ignored you because its hearsay those I'll believe not posts in forums

I have another forum in the general discussion just for this kind of discussion. SomthingWicked has been posting online with me for years. I can say he is one of the most informative players I have talked to since joining AO.

Thanks for you comments buddy; as always.

Paint the world sucked. But for the cost it wasnt too bad for a Skirmish event. Thanks again guys for joining my thread and keeping the interest in paintball so lively.

                T.M.

Let go to NJ guys in October.

I hear that there were "no issues" at all. If that's so, I'm glad to hear it. Can you confirm or deny this assertation?

And just for the record, I mean no malice towards anyone here. In case you haven't noticed, I don't post like a punk off Nation, I don't generally engage in moronic bantor at all, nor do I tolerate it when it's directed at me. I'm about as "straight forward" a dude as you'll ever see and I found some previous and condescending commentary extremely insulting to my age, demeanor and intelligence. No hard feelings...

I have been playing a long, long time and MOST of my time has been spent at Skirmish...as you also say. In the past few years, I have done more than my share of defending Skirmish and the shenanigans that have been increasingly going on...it's just that a person gets tired of trying to change the mentality of people - and the lack of will (on the part of the field owners) ya know?

T.M. - I'd like to know specifically why you think PTW "sucked"...what was the problem, issue, whatever? Thanks.

                        That's great news...lol.

If you were at Berlin 06, Stalingrad and ION 07, I was the only German in a digital MARPAT Kilt, matching jacket and a JT Whippersnapper with a tinted lens. For Normandy, my camp was near Ragnarok's and Delta's....our team's (the PennDragons) hide-out was called "The Dragon's Den"...a 10'x15' Canvas Civil War tent with matching awning. I had the Aztec blaring bagpipe music as I entered the field on Friday morning...

Anyway...If Paul and Nixx got their stuff and field together, that's great to hear. I think I will wait the season out though to see if it goes back to "old habits"....

That sux your tent was in the boonies. Team SGA was by the registration building, we partied hard at the blue shroom. Man the non-alcoholic beer flowed like non-alcoholic wine.

There was a group of players that saw me hanging off field with non-aliens. They said I was a spy and popped me a few times on the field. I had to play against my own team for a few hrs. I even changed my armor to disguse myself a little bette rfrom em. It worked; they were MOVO-NUBOs, they felt important knowing I chilled out with some players off the field. I was also monitoring a channel run by the allies with my FM (fav weapon), that also got em fired up.

                            Still sux...
