Calling Ottawa folks! Tri-Balle Paintball game on Feb 23

Hey guys,

A few of us over here in the National Capital Area, as well as a couple of guys from the A5OG and UMS are meeting for a fun-filled day of interior CQB paintball over at Tri-Balle Paintball in Gatineau, Quebec on February 23, 2008. Tentative time is 1 PM, and maybe after we could go out for drinks.

Oh and just for the sake of being informed, what are the paint, and field fees like there?

Paint sells at the cheapest prices I've ever seen on a field:

100 balls for $5
500 balls for $20
2000 balls for $60

At those prices, you get XBall Bronze paint, but they also have Chronic paint for a bit more.

Besides paint, field price is $5/hour.

thats good, thats about the same as i pay on average. hopefully my plans change i wouldnt mind trying the place out

Whee little update:

I went to Tri-Balle yesterday to tune my Mag, as I was experiencing a nasty case of bolt stick. Turns out I had the thumb screw in too tight, go figure I love simple fixes like that

Anyway, The owner did some changes to the field. people complained that the floors were slippery, so he adressed the situation by putting a couple of inches of wood chips all around (the same thing used in a guinnea pig's cage) and I must say that the stuff totally rocks!

The floors aren't slippery anymore, and the stuff absorbs paint really well. For you guys with slider pants, the wood chips allows sliding at record speeds!

Even if the field is small (hey, it's a CQB field, right?), I do believe we will have a blast over there! Can't wait!

I'm still waiting to see if I can make it though I do have a couple of markers I've been working on to return to their owners in Ottawa, that should make a good excuse to head up for the 23'rd.
