    Scenario qusetions

    Hi folks,
Here's the deal. We've got several scenarios coming up this summer. I need advice on how to spread the word. What would you folks recommend to reach people that might play in the Northeast. Also feel free to mention what you might like to see for services at a scenario. Like over night camping, Music etc. Go for it folks and help me make a good time better,

    Thanks, Dutch

Free camping is good for out of towners. Music/DJ is not worth any expense. Good air fills are always a plus. Concessions, bathrooms (or port-a-potties), and access to running water. Make sure you are prepared for the expected and unexpected numbers. Have a back-up plan for air and paint.

Back up plan??? Like I got a plan! hehe We do have 2 formats ready to go, a small format for a poor turn out and a large format for a good turn out. For paint we get in fresh skids a few days before we hold these events and what we don't use is then burned in regular play on the field. My Mako compressor keeps the cascade banks pretty well caught up. It's hard to find staff for these things though. The insurance company require 1 staff member for every 15 players. So a 150 player game takes 10 refs. For a monster scenario of 3000 players we would need 200 refs. I think the insurance folks are a touch on the crazy side but that's just me.

      So no music, but
      camping
      good food
      bathrooms
      water.

      Anything else.

Live bands only! music is not a wast Medic. Prob is we need intertainment when the game is off. Otherwise its only a distraction; an unwanted one at best.

I would request you please have a pre-game party and an after game party for the players even if it means cutting the play down. Its a good way to bond with our buds. Most times the game ends and we get the score and then its a mad dash to the nearest gas station to fill up and head back to VA!

I always felt bad czz players want to socialize in a focused invironment but most players out of the box usually stay out of the box during big games. Help us all get in the same mind set of paintball together. SPPLAT did a great job back from 2002 to 2004.

Sorry to say, but please dont crack down on the boose at night. Champainge celebrations and beer with dinner is the only way I play. the LETS KEEP IT CLEAN FOR THE KIDS mentality is for weekend players only, not big gamers who travel cross country and spend big cash to hear "sorry, but this is a family event!" I do bring my family and we like to have fun on and off the field. So please, reward us, not hinder us for participating in your event.

Last, sir, I know this my sound like beating a dead horse, but after Invasion Normandy Skirmish 07, could you reinerate the rules to all the NOOB players who only come to these big games. I am so tired of players complaining they dont know the rules of engagement on the field.

Thanks and cant wait to have a beer with you at the event with my team.
