    Have you heard of him?

Got a question. I'm wondering who has heard of THE-TB. I hear he's a big scenario guy. Just wondering what the word on the proverbial street is. Is he stand up? Is he a good guy? Or is he not. Just doing some research as I've been seeing a lot of him in other forums and he seems to be hastling a few ppl. Not sure if they deserve is for being tards or if he is being a jerk for fun.

Look up. That sticky about Lawrence TB Wright... That's him.

He's on Thunderstruck, probably the best scenario team in the USA right now.

Is that a ditch behind me?

    I'm old... I'm slow...
And I can't see very well...
Is this gun I borrowed any good?

That's just TB - love him or hate him, he's very opinionated.

Bold & highly opinionated statement, as there is no clear-cut way to judge Scenario Team's across the US...

And exactly how many times have you played against them or with them?

How many scenario games have you played?

And how many fields have you visited around these United States?

I'm just trying to find out if you know anything about scenarios and the teams that play them.

I'm just trying to find out if you know anything about scenarios and the teams that play them.
Firstly - www.13thLegionnaires.com - My team, mr. smartypants . 40+ Legionnaires, some of the hardest hitting Scenario ballers on the east coast (NJ based), imo.

While I do enjoy competition, I mostly play for the FUN of it nowadays)... however estimated answers to your Q's, off the top o my head, include...

Me personally = 12+ yrs of paintball: Rec, Rec-Scenario, Tourny (College/NCPA/NEIC & NPPL/GPL), then back to Scenario by joining up with the Legion. Est. at the least, 8-12 Scenarios a year, small(100-200)/med(500-1000)/large(1500+), take a few off during my Tourny yrs. Figure about 60+ Scenarios, to be modest...

Only been with the Legion going on 2yrs now; probably 15+ Scenarios, couple Scenario Tournys in there too, bunch o Rec days, etc. Many on the Team have been together longer than 3yrs+, but it feels like a family for the short time I've been with'em

Fields? You really want me to name them all? , Honestly lost count at this point. Say 15-20 States of ballin'... couple fields within some of them, especially the Tri-State area (NJ/NY/PA). All NJ fields alone, that's 10-5 right there...

Again, I'm NOT saying they're either good/bad. as I've never played with/against TB/Thunderstruck, but I am reiterating my previous comment - There is NO truly clear cut way to judge the overall ablities of one Scenario Team from another, when comparing Teams from around the Nation. Official Scenario Team attendence at games is few and far inbetween. There is no regulation on # of players per such Teams. There is no hugely official league (there are some leagues, but their not that large just yet, or rather, not Nationally based, evenly) with a ranking system, no mandatory games list or, no pie charts or graphs to analyze. Whose to say the games they've attended had no real competition as they were full of walk-ons to blast (as Scenarios are consisted MOSTLY of)? Do great Scenario Teams consist of how many games they've played & won? How many times they make it into a Magazine or Website? Simply how long they've been around? Amount of Sponsors? Size of the Team? Number of friends they have? etc. PBN (of all places), just had a huge Thread about such things - Scenario Section - "Top Scenario Teams" Debate Thread - http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.php?t=2640882

Again, I never said TB/TS were bad/good. You may have played with/against them yourself, and have strong feelings about the Team. But Mr. Smith, your original posting remains... a highly opinionated one; entitled to, but not necessarily true. ("While I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it" ).

Scenario PB is a fickle mistress, and should be enjoyed moreso than worrying about who's better/worse,.... not be brought into any of the highly political bs that's befallen Tournament over the years (such the reason I left yrs ago, tourny that is, and got back into Scenario).

The WIN is only part of Paintball, while the Fun should be everything.

Never heard of the 13th legionnaires, despite my smarty pants...

And my questioning your paintball experience was in response to your "Bold & highly opinionated statement" comment.

My statement is based on my opinion which is based on the facts as I have seen them over the past number of years. I've played with and against TB and his team somewhere around 20 times, and if you include their former teams, such as Blitzkrieg, Knightmare Tango, Atomic Wedgies and Nudi's old team. you can jump that number up to 40 times.

I was at EMR when TB generaled against RTD and not only won but seriously kicked their rears. I'll assume you have heard of RTD, being from NJ. That would be the RTD team that had never lost a scenario and had never lost at EMR.

I was at 2 of the Shatnerballs when TB was one of the 7 and the XO for Tom.

I was at MOUT when Sean from Smart Parts had TB as his XO and Thunderstruck as one of his main teams that totally dominated Spec Ops, even with Spec Ops 70 person advantage.

Is there another scenario team with the credentials of the members of Thunderstruck? If so, I don't know about them.

Is that a ditch behind me?

My Philosphy/Religion double major screwed me up a bit I guess, resulting in my obsession with looking too deeply into the exact wording of simple sentences (damn basic Logic & Phil. o Language f'd me up ). So the part about "best in the nation" stirred me up a bit, purely on it's simple sentence structure meaning. Should have been worded, "one of the best, if not so".

I'll admit, TB/TS's reputations do precede them, myself only having heard all about them, and their credentials do speak for themselves. But your admission that you've never heard of the 13th Legionnaires, one of the best Scenario Teams on the East Coast (imo), goes to show, what ya don't know may bother ya

I always imagine someone out there is better, and there usually is . Other than the excitement of a challenge, such is the reason to keep pushing for grander levels & abilities.

So, I'm guessing you missed the word "probably" in "He's on Thunderstruck, probably the best scenario team in the USA right now."

                    OK.

Yea, I definitely do NOT know every paintball team out there, thus my use of "probably".

                    What's 13th Legionnaires 2008 schedule?
Are y'all going to be at Sherwood for the VIP game over Memorial Day?
If so, are y'all playing with or against Hawk?

Ah yes, didn't even see it cause I was stuck on the "Best in nation" part. I'm a jerk . To bad this forum doesn't have the "foot-in-mouth" smilee, some of the others do.

Nope on the Sherwood Game, but here's our 2008 schedule - http://www.13thlegionnaires.com/phpB...?p=15387#15387

Nope, nothing specific. Just testing the waters to see how far your reputation stretched across the internet. I am impressed by your resume of paintball and your knowledge of sceanrio through the various boards.

Didn't even think to look for you on AO before I began this thread.

TB & TS, yep yeps, heard of them, played with them and against them and have a blast each and everytime we hit the fields together.

They are stand up 'ballers who get the short end of the stick by the whiney gitz out there in the world.

Opinionated, sure but isnt everyone, he marches to the beat of the drum just like everyone doesnt mean its the same drum though. LOL.

I can say this about TB and TS, they will give you a hard challenging game, talk a hell'uf'a smack talk then once the dust of the game settles they can be just as friendly as anyone else. Its paintball folks, plan and simple paintball.

They are an awesome team and good people, me and my team would shot with or against them anyday anytime.
