    Nightvision

Is there any real market for nightvision in paintball?
Do any of you guys use it?
    When? Where? Why?
Is there any nightvision expert on AO?

    Thanks

You might have a better chance for a good answer if you asked this in the scenario forum. Lemme know and I can move it there for you.

Yup. A few of us do, and there's a lot of people in the scenario community that use it extensively.

You might try doing a search, also. It's been hashed and rehashed a few times. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit trite, but I've already posted a few long ones on the subject and don't feel like typing it all again.

          Muahahaha

Actualy I nkow nothing about nightvision.
But my friend is selling a monocular nightvision thing. So I thought I would look to see if anyone on AO was interested in that sort of thing.

I was wondering if people actualy use it, i guess so.

I did a quick search, with little luck.
I will do a more in depth one later tonight, when I have more time.

                  $250 for a "nightowl optics"
                  nightvision sport optic monocular

Its only been used in the bathroom to see if it works.
                  Works good.
You get the origonal box, video, and instructions.

I'll post it in the Misc. Buy/Sell forum in a few days when i get the pics up.

This thred is just to see if people actualy use them.
Like what role nightvision plays in senareo games
and how many people actualy use them in a game.

Is it just the point guy spotting everything out?
                  Or dose everybody have it?
Or is it just one little group that is the "covert opps" for the big team?

The night owl is one of the lower-end Generation 1 monoculars on the market.
It's geared mainly for civilian hunters and wildlife enthusiasts.

First, $250 is a reasonable price for a Gen 1 monocular. Unfortunately, carrying one around at night held up to your mask occupies your offhand, making it of limited use.
Also, Gen 1 gear is not exactly cutting edge.
So, if the question was, would I buy that, the answer would be no.

As for questions about nightvision and scenario games in general, Burphel's quite right, that has been discussed at length on other posts.
In a nutshell (IMHO, I appologize in advance), in the right hands and with the right configuration, it can be very useful.
But as a general rule, you'll never get your money's worth from it.

The thing has a bit to mount to something...like a sight rail...or something like that.
So you will have a free hand.

My friend has absolutly NO clue what it is worth.
Do you think you/someone else would pay around $200?

The best nightvision for paintball is monocular style.
Cheerleading is a sport a spectator sport. Star wars rocks!!!
