I've had guys who mount a night vision scope on their gun for night play. Mainly they are off to the side of the action somewhere radioing positions to commandas they find them in the dark. One guy had a Gen 3 scope. He tried to make sure he didn't get shot at too much. Over $2000 in that thing! I have to say the sight quality was great in it though.

I've only used a night vision scope once at the first Finale, but I've been wondering...is there a way to adjust the scope so that the point at which the scope angles the light towards (I forget the term for the spot) is moved back an inch or two? Trying to use that scope was very difficult due to the space between my glasses, my goggles, and the eyesight of the scope. If the focal point were 4-5 inches back it would've worked much better for me, otherwise the one I saw was essentially useless.

I think the one I have you can adjust the thing you are talking about.

I posted this in the buy sell forum.

my friend has a pair of gen3 monos.. he had two gen 1's, but they just didn't cut it for paintball. so he traded them both in for the gen3.

and wow. they help A LOT in night time. but mostly the people with the night vision is observers. personally i dont like night play. over shooting and people shoot hot, and they dont call them selves out. plus i like to see where i'm going, and who i'm shooting at.

so usually i grab it and just go ahead and observe

however, lot of scenarios (waynes for example) usually lets the players vote if they want night vision or not, and majority of them DONT have it, so they vote no, and usually isn't allowed.
