    I'll be there.
Not looking for any particular role, which is unusual for me.
But I'll be there along with a strong contingent of the Paintball Marshals, demonstrating our pre-historic markers and causing a pump-generated chaos.

Anyone interested in the old-skool stuff might want to be there just to see this rolling museum of paintball. KP's, Splatmasters, 007's....Not just on display, but being used in the games.

I just hope you're on our team.

Does anyone know how much P&L will be charging for paint? It's normally $100 per case (of "whatever" field paint) at their Bridgewater field.

I'd love to go to the event but I couldn't support that kind of extortion.

If Wayne has set up resonable paint prices than I'll be there.

That's one of the reasons I love playing stock-class. I'tll cost me more to get in than pay for the paint for a 24hr game.

I dunno why Goodie has become such an extortionist, seeing as he is a big distributor to other stores/fields. $100 for a case is completely unacceptable, especially for TC crap. Even BPS doesnt charge that much for field paint. Good luck on getting a decent turnout.

He'll probably have a few hard core Wayne Dollack fans and some rentals who didn't know anything special was happening that day.

I'd have gone for $85 because that's what P&L tourny paint costs ($65 would be reasanable) but $100 rules me out just on principle.

                  I agree and it sucks..

But Pub Crawling will be making a showing though.. we want to check out a Wayne Dollack game. I don't beleive we will make it a habit to attend games that charge this much for paint.

after talking with one of the head refs (not Goodie) at PnL Bridgewater, he thinks it's a good thing to charge this much for paint.. He's focused on the instant $$$ instead of the return business.. they would make so much more money in the long run if they at the least dropped the paint prices down to $80, or ideally at least to the high cost of paint for every other field in the area, $65. I have never played the field because I can't get over the cost of the paint.. I would rather go to my Home field (Camp Paintball) which sells paint for $47, or drive the hour to Fox4 which is also $47 (but I buy evil there for $60..)

it's just plain bad business on thier part.

Let me guess.......no one signed up.

Oh well, They are all about tourny practice(really cheap) and rental players(really expensive). Perhaps at some point they'll realize that there's money to be made in the middle.

Yeah, they do seem to only care about tourny players. Im sure their affiliated teams pay almost nothing for paint. Their tourneys never were that good either. Especially not when they were having the 3 man ones at the old Apache Paintball. Meh. Preying on noobs and turning them into mediocere tourney players with no in between.

basically, yea.. no one pre regged.. they think it's because they didn't advertise enough (which is true - it was a rumor for months...).. but the biggest thing was the paint prices.. I read about 5 or so local paintball forums a day and everyone of them complained about the paint prices... =( I would LOVE to play the ghost town, but for $150 it's not worth it to me..

You'r right it was canceled for lack of players .....
                            i work for Wayne..
the field never sent all the info needed to taylor the scenario....
then at the last minute they canceled.....
you all should come down for the year end game...
last year we had almost 2000 people play...
its the first weekend in december....
the paint usually runs about $75.00 a case

I do not know about the field in Mass.
there isnt really any large profits in running a field..
i know i used to run one...
90% of any profit is used in maintaining the field and up grading
                              facilities....
provided the property is not rented...
                              insurance is outragous...
Wayne can no longer use pyrotechnics cause of insurance...
and he has to make the tank owner/operators buy their own insurance..
then for scenario games he has to get a special events permit
which has to be signed buy the county sherrif and fire cheif as well as a
                              city counsel member...
then he has to get portable toilets.
provide electricity for all the vendor booths and the caterers..
buy the time every thing is said and done the profit is very small...
