Scenario Game in central IL in Sept!

    Hey fellow paintballers,

I'm producing an 8 hour scenario with all profits going to Habitat for Humanity. Before you think this will be another lame game trying to get your money let me tell you that I am a scenario player, not a game producer. I along with my teammate who is writing the storyline and missions have colletively well over 30 major scenarios under our belt and we have the players best interest in mind! The game i sat Sudden Impact paintball (sipaintball.net) in McLean IL on sat. Sept 18th. This field draws 140-240 players to its annual big game with no advertising what-so-ever, I have quite a bit of exposure in magazines as well as postings on most major forums so the turn out should be pretty good. The field is a very nice 80+ acres of woods with speedball fields and free camping is available (with facitlities) less than an 1/8th mile from the field. for info email me @ [email protected]

      Yeah, I know.

I actually choose my date about 3 weeks before the Shatnerball date was announced. Any later and it gets close to the MXS @ Sherwood forest, much earlier and then players will complain its too hot (and it would have been closer to the Shatner game). There are so many scenario/big games anymore its really tough to find a weekend with no major games within 2-3 weeks. I did my best to find a hole in the local calander. This will be a fun game at a great field, hopefully some of you will consider attending.

        details would be nice
what time does it start, is there a mid day break, any free give aways, how will the missions be given to the teams, food, water, admission price, how much for paint, the list goes on

In order for you to have a great event you need to plan everything and release it to the public so that all the players know what is going on.

Planning a scenario game is a lot harder than it seems

          A big AMEN to that.

Finally, someone who appreciates a good Scenario Organizer/Promoter. A good game takes 2 months to organize. A GREAT game takes 4-6 months to promote, organize, and set up.
We had our Illinois Stargate event planned for Sept. 4th but pushed it back just because of the Shatner event.
          Better re think that date.

I agree guys! This has been in the works for near 6 months! We had a site on Yahoo but the powers that be at yahoo decided the site was for commercial use and shut down the link. That has put me in the tough position of either re-typing all the info every time i post on a new forum or waiting for interest so I can send it attached to an email. In hind sight typing the basics would have been time well spent. I really expected to get more people posting inquiring about the game. It has not worked out that way. Next year will be different. I've learned a lot producing this game for the first time!!

The game is on Sept 18th at the very nice 80+ acres of Sudden Impact in McLean IL (sipaintball.net) reg opens at 8am orientation at 9 and game on at 10. This game will follow the major producer format with insertions and missions on 20 minute intervals, and a instant insertion final battle. We will have medics, demos, and pilots, everything you expect at a major producers game! I will extend the pre-reg price of $20. to anyone who mentions this post, as long as I recieve your entry by Sept 13th. The story line and character bios are avialable by email, just ask. Paint will be event paint only PMI premium for $80./ 2000. ALL procedes are going to Habitat for Humanity. I have a pretty good prize package for a small game! Multiple guns, and air systems, magazine subscptions, quite a few paintball DVDs plus harnesses and small items.

Hope to see some of you there!
