exactly tipps are great i have an a-5 sniper, it shoots nice im the sniper on my teap i play woods ball so get what im sayin, why use a gun that isnt accurate in woodsball im a sniper and tippman makes great guns for my playing needs i dont need to shoot 36bps to hit someone i can take one shot and take someone out while you shooting20-36bps just to hit someone. so if u have a fast gun its cuz it takes you 30 shots to hit someone while i take one shot and get you out! my two cents.

hey weltman,
on the tippman quality question, i agree with you, they are great guns.
Krafty in the thread also agrees, he has a tippman flatline that i setup for him. milled the valve, modified the spring... if you know what your doing on those you can do a ton to make them rock.
the funny thing though is, Krafty is still not running the tippman, when he asked me to set it up for him, it was "for senario games, except for TWC, for that i wanna run my mags :-) "-------------

I still subscribe to the old addage, the gun throws the paint but the shooter makes the mark.
I've seen lots of people shooting almost every imaginable variation of marker out there and it still comes down to skill. Volume can help but I know guys who sport Phantoms against cockers and mags regularly and come out the winner. Tippys are no different. If you know how to shoot it, then you are a threat to the other guy.
I saw a t-shirt at Shatner ball that said "How many times per second do you need to miss me?" It fits.
I just wish I could go.Run Fast, Shoot Strait, Play Hard, NO WHINING!!!

Darn right! I really do like the Tippmann guns because they just work. About the only thing they ever need is a sear every couple of years. Mine came to me so filthy and mucked up that when I cocked it, you could hear sand grinding on the inside of the gun. I ran about 15 drops of Gold Cup through it to moisten the seals and it shot great.Originally posted by booyahhey weltman,

That being said, I really think my emag has found its niche as a primary scenario marker. Sure it's a bit heavy with that 88 on it, but I'm no wuss. Once I get the 98 valve resprung so it opens faster it'll come along, but for now... Emag, baby!

I'ved owned 3 autocockers and know them inside and out, also owned 3 automags aswell as 3 differant low tech guns and probably 5 other kinds of markers. I currently own a 2k cobra angel and just rebuilt it for its yearly maintenance and I have a 03 wgp autococker which needs a hammer kit. PPffff to those who call me a noob.
I hate bragging more than anything but I bet some of my friends would still be afraid to play agaist me if I used a 98c and they use alais timmys and upped bushys. As it is I put my angel on 11 bps while there firing we'll fireing we'll over 15 sometimes.
As for the tippman I had some of the most fun ever slamming into the ground and running around while pulling that 5 lbs trigger pull. When you get someone out or rip them with a tippman it feels good and to me thats skill. When your walking your trigger and luckily hitting someone after 3 pods and half a hopper we'll thats enough said right there.Team Red Demons, sponsored by Rex Plex, National Paintball Supply, Shooters & looters, & wildwood paintball + more coming soon!

World got owned
Yeah, I'm sorry to rub it in, but NA NA NA NA NA!! Haha just kidding, but I was on the Tippmann teams this year. It almost felt cheap, seeing as how the odds must have been at least 2 or 3 to 1. It was sweet nonetheless. I had a blast trecking through the now 3 feet deep swamp. No kidding, I did it 3 times and got 9 kills out of it. Had to check throroughly for leaches afterward though, and I gained probably a good 10 pounds in water weight in my boots and pants. I didn't see a single other person goin' through there though, I hope my legs don't fall off.
About the final score, I'm not sure because I high tailed it out of there right at the buzze Sunday, but I'd say Tippmann won by at least 2000, which is what it was going into the 4th quarter of the game. I didn't see any major comeback by the yellow team.

it was a good game, and yes world was thouroghly out numbered it seemed everytime we were starting to push the tippy's back an insertion of like 75 foot soldiers and 3 trucks would roll past with a tank behind them to rape us. i had a blast tho it was definatly a refreshing change form my usually tourny scene, and i.... did a superman in the woods!!!

It certainly was fun having so many red players to shoot at, eh?
It was nice meeting everyone I did (I think I have a pic of Paintgirl and Sac, but the film isn't back yet).
Best moment of the game for me was trying to hold the edge of the field by the netting at the west end on Sunday. I was pretty much out in the open but the reds coming from around the corner couldn't see me. One would dive for the spool and I'd shoot him. Then another would go and I'd shoot him. Fish in a barrel, baby! I must've done that for about 5 minutes. Then they had a huge insertion come down the hill and me and the 3 other guys with me beat a hasty retreat. At that point I switched to hybrid and started laying the paint until I got eliminated. On the way out I hear one of the dead reds say "where the hell did all that paint come from?" and another one pointed at my emag and said "THAT is where it came from."
Usually in big games it's hard to really gauge how many or few opposing players you've eliminated. This time, I'm pretty confident that I hit more than a few.
I like this pic... me rockin' the emag trying to keep the reds from sneaking in from the swamp:
