    Scenario vs. Big Game

I was just at my first scenario game (Mobster Mash) this weekend, and I was wondering what the difference is between scenario games and big games. Anyone who can help has my gratitude.

mobster mash was a big game. Scenario's have more role play to them and more missions.

Big Games don't have missions. It's merely a scaled up version of regular woodsball.

Scenarios have a theme, missions and points but they wouldn't necessarily be extremely large.

i went to the Michigan Monster game, and it's considered a Big Game. It's similar to a scenario, but there are lots and lots and lots of people, and only a few missions. (as in, seize the castle, the village, and the tower) in a scenario, you'll have lots less people, and more missions and weird things. (to me, anyway)

Pacman's article was helpful, but I don't think it was really definitive.

A Big Game may have a theme, but a Scenario Game must have a story. The games are not so much about capturing/holding territory as they are about accomplishing story-related objectives. Some of your objectives will require you to find someone and talk to them rather than shoot them. Big games tend to centre around the idea of holding bases for points, with prop-gathering often thrown in for good measure.

Big games can have missions, but they are not usually story-related. For example, at the annual Cousins Big Game on Long Island they run a mission where a half-dozen players must deliver a briefcase to a designated base. When they get there, they have to open the briefcase, and each pull on a pair of underwear over their clothes. They must return to the scoretable wearing the briefs to get the points.
