That was a good game but it's pretty sad when a GENERAL has to have his card punched for screaming profainities at the players and referees. I don't know if he realizes it, but when you barrel-tag someone, there is no need to shoot them. They are OUT.
Antagonizing 5+ people while dancing around the notion of a fistfight isn't a very wise thing to do, especially when those five are much bigger than you and have 40+ good friends within earshot. Another unwise thing is bringing a marker into the deadbox where people aren't wearing masks and then screaming at the ref when you realize your mistake.
It's all good though, I think he remembers the line of paint my team captain walked up his backbone Saturday.

What General got a card punched? If you are refering to the incident on the backend of the speedball field there was no card punch there. In fact I would say the players on the field were at fault for the reaction they had when this General shot the player behind the bunker. But that's just my view on the matter based on what I know are in the rules.
This was a great game in my opinion. My biggest complaint would be that the Evil truck packed up and left even before the awards ceremony got underway. I was really hoping he'd be around afterwards so I could spend some more money with them. Oh well, next time I won't wait so long I guess.

The two referees present both said that the general was at fault. The players on the field weren't the ones dropping the F-bomb, and I heard Mark say he would punch the card himself.
A barrel tag eliminates a player. There is no need to fire afterwards. Todd called the general on that and the general went nuts and then ran in the deadbox with his marker.

Here was the ruling on the above mentioned episode. Brino bunkered a player on the field, which is not in any way a violation of the rules in the GSRP, and was then yelled at by several people for "breaking the rules." He did not break a rule in his actions. The cursing afterwards, though never proper, was an understandable response to being called a cheater in a situation that was not cheating. I do not condone language like that, but when others caused it I can forgive it at least once. The general then headed for what looked to be an exit point and did not have his sock on, it turned out to be the hospital, not the exit, but from what we could gather after some hard questioning, he was not seen by a ref to have entered the box itself, only the hallway. Also not a judge punch offense.
End result, some heated attitudes on both sides led to some innappropriate behavior by both sides. The generals card was not punched but he was spoken to about language. Members of the other side known to be involved were spoken to as well about their part in what happened. You may have overheard me say that I would punch his card, but after investigating we discovered that was not required as no ref could report seeing him enter the hospital safe zone and that was the only punchable offense at that time.
I hope that helps to clear up a cloudy situation for some, I admit not being present for the occurance, but I can share the results as I was a part of that.
