Hey, other fields are getting on the game and setting up for the 2005 season. EMR put out their game for August to trying get the buisness and the news. this game is going to $500 per team and them foolowing it will be Shatner ball? it is time to let us start to get ready. we are a new team with sponsors and we have schedule to commit to for the 2005 season, we will be at Shatner ball even if it is china, but we want to know how much money to put away, where we need to cut off the 2005 season to save cash and if fundraising is needed. it will help if we can start now. we need to start talking about it now. the more publicity this thing gets the better. the more sponsors wil want to have coverage Ect.

Anyone have any news, it was supposed to be announced this weekend at the Throwdown?

I've been told, the venue is on hold right now. They are wanting to release it as bad as you are wanting it released. But you gotta dot the I's and cross the T's. Soon is what I was told, real soon!

Oh god... I dont know if were allowed to disclose whats supposed to be happening at the next shatnerball but if it what its supposed to be... You guys save your money for sure, its going to be the BOMB for sure and its going to be in Texas... Oh hell yah TEXAS.

How and when to start saving

Here's the basic overview of how much money it may take to spend on this year's 05 event. From the past two Shatner events, here is how much it cost me. $100 first year registration, $75 for second year. $80 (not reality for most trigger fingers) for balls for one day of play during the BIG GAME (not counting the pre-game the day before).

Be conservative with your balls and you'll never run out. Heck, I had so many ball by the end of the day, I gave away about 3 hoppers full of ammo to some fellow teamates. Everyone is pretty good about sharing balls; we all like that.

Hotels usually offer a discount for the event due to the scope of players in these huge games. Usually you get a good room for around $40 to $80 a night. Thats if you choose not to stay on the camp grounds. I usually like chillin out with my paintball buds, but a shower really is worth the money after a 2 or 3 days of slummin out in a tint (I do love the tint life). The best thing to do is find a bud who has a room with a shower, slumm it out on the camp grounds and use his room. hahaha

Food (beer) is about the same at every gas station I buy it at nomatter where I go.

The registration cost went down last year because (I think) we played in cotton shirts, not jersies. but do to overwhelming demand, jersies will be brought back next year, so cost will go up for sure. Shat said so! I know some kids got through this event with around $250 counting registration, but mostley for gas!

There is no better time to save than the present-GAME ON!

This is all good news, but come on already, lets get on with it already! we need to know what city, what hotels, distances from the field, what other attractions are there to see, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY and it will build up moral. this place needs the moral!!!!!

the hype just isnt here yet and it needs to be here. there still isnt a video from the chicago event and that vampire fool hasnt returned any calls or done anything about that.

It is well past the point of letting us go nuts with the fun of the smack talk and hype of the event that most of look forward too so much. some of us live for this game alone!!!!

i thank you for the help for the cost asstiance before, who ever that was, we are aware of the costs of all the events, we have been to them all, DUH, but what are the teams, field locations, are there going to be jersys included? this needs to disclosed NOW, rather than later. but hey i am just one voice venting, if i am the only one that is felling fusterated by the lack of information we are getting, then i will be the only one complaining, but i am not the only one complaining.

By the way, I started all these threads to get people motivated to find out any information about the upcomming game. My intention was not and never was to piss any one off. Please relaxe and just find out where the game is and lets get going here. thats all i was doing, not yelling, not stepping on toes, trying to fuel the hype!

About the Mobster Video, I don't think there will be one. At the BIG GAME they (I think) never said to expect it to come out. SPPLATT II they gave us warning about when to expect the video to come out. Pacman said "around before Christmas or somthing" but I didn't find it till around April the next year. Also it wasn't on William Shatner's website. I had to pull a search for it and found it on 888paintball.com by chance. Too bad czz I dropped a roll of Mobster Mash film at the last game which had all my action pics on it. "Tasel Mask you fool!" Still have some good ones of my team at the post game though, so its cool.

E-me if anyone at Mobster Mash event found a through-away kodak camera on the battlefield at the finale battle at Temple of Doom.

About the camera's everyone saw around the battlefield last year at Mobster Mash. Most of them were just specators (the ones I met at least). I din't really see any camera crew like Spplat II.

There is a group of people who say indoors is too small even at the biggest parks to handle the turnout at these games. This will mean it may be outside. If so, there is no way in the world you can turn the hellish sands of Texas into 68 deg of pleasure during the month of August. They must mean some place dry and cool. Help me out? Now we have the endless speculation and endless results which basically tell us no person really knows yet or even if it is still going to happen; or they are not fully sharing it with us. After the charities fallout with Spplat Attack, anything is possible. Let's hope for the best.

Thanks again for the thread Eric, I've got the fever for this BIG GAME bad and its driving me nuts just waiting to know more. But there is still plenty time to plan. This event turned so many of my college buds on to the world of paintball.
