I'm going with my team "Ghost Recon". We went last year and had a really good time. The field has a beach landing area that is really tough, but a blast to play. The camping area is grassy and plenty of level areas for tents. I spoke with the field owner the other day and he is expecting somewhere around 100 to 150 people. Should be a lot of fun. look us up and say "hey".

Well, I am back from Anzio 2005! I had agood time but unfortunately I was not at my best for the game. I over did it running a day before going so my legs were in some real pain, I was barely able to wlk up and down the stairs! So of course towards the end of the opening scenario (taking the beach from landing craft) I decided to sprint from the boats to a trail that led up to the cliffs overlooking the landing area. Of course the cliff was covered in bunkers and towers filled with enemy players reiging paintball death down on the beach. On my sprint I hit a soft spot in the sand and slid some, being as my leg was already in reduced health it collapsed and so did I! I ended up laying on my back holding my knee which now felt torn. I was okay enough to limp off by myself but I did a number on my calf, hip, and especially my knee.

In later games I couldn't even crouch down without my leg collapsing In the last battle that I played in I actually low crawled across the battlefield and along with the Allied XO (a friend of mine) we made it into the enemy flank and got drop on several bad guys. Many ghillie snipers also fell under my sights while low crawling through the brush. Am I dedicated or what?

I ended up only playing saturday because of the injury and returned home early to recoup some before the week.

The facilities at Sudden Impact Paintball were excellent: camping; showers; home cooked meals; large barn for staging/hanging out; transport to battlefields that even ran all during games; staff was friendly.

The bad parts were a heavy thuder and lightning storm that ended the games late during the day on Saturday; and the game was more quasi-scenario as they had several restrictions placed on your movement. The location of the fields unfortunately included several briar patches and small cactus. There was some undue complaining by players but I guess that is to be expected. The Allied General was a bit out of line IMHO in demanding the field change a safety practice concerning masks (but the error was towards furthering safety, not reducing it). I only disagree with that one because I don't think he should ask to over rule the fields established safety guidelines (which were adequate and appropriate).

      That's about it!
