    Firefox throat mic

Hey there fellow scenario players. Has anyone used or tried those Firefox throat mic's for playing paintball?
They look like they'll work fine from the pics on the website, but I'd like some real reviews for players who have used them.

    Thanks.

Yes, I've used these. You gotta learn to use them a week or so before the game, otherwise it'll sound like a XXX movie. And, their not quite feasible while running around. For scouting/sniping, or for back guys their great, but for a sneek, thats running by themselves, they are worthless imo. Depends how you play.

I bought it and hate it, its garbage. It doesnt stay where its supposed to, its uncomfortable, and its tricky to get a clear transmission through it. You are way better off getting a cheap ear bud and a decsent GMRS radio (Midland makes a 4 watt one for like $30-40).

Notes for clear transmission and such. FIRST: shave. That is a must or your never gonna get it to work. Second: It takes time and practice Third: try using a small amount of medical tape to keep it in place, works great Fourth: the ear pieces leave something to be desired for, but thats really it. I'd say get them if you really want, but the ear peces gave me a headache after awhile. I would like them and use them, but I can never understand anyone when I'm running, radio or shouting or anything.

              Clearercom's

The clearercoms work better for me but I follow all the rules previously mentioned. Shaving is huge followed by the other ones. There is no substitute to keep the clatter off of the channel and not develop a rash.
