NIGHT GAMES AT FOX... But only you can make it happen
Fox Paintball MAY be running night games at thier field this summer. Starting in June, Fox may leave the AIRBALL fields set up and light the tournament fields for some night play. This would be on all 4 Saturday nights in June, to begin with. If this works well and we have a good turnout, then we can possibly continue this throughout the summer.
I need as much feedback as possible on this. Two years ago, players left Fox at 5pm (closing time) and went down to PB Shooters. Now that PB isnt there, were trying to offer something new for our players. Heres what I have in mind right now, but this isnt etched in stone;
All players at Fox that play during the day from 9am to 5pm will pay the normal registration fee. At 5pm (Normal Closing time) the daytime registered players will pay an additional $10.00 to play from 5pm to 10pm. All new players that day would pay $15.00 from 5pm to 10pm. Air fills would still be included and rentals would be available. This would be on speedball fields only.
ALSO, I would like to run one night Scenario game. Now the owner is against this and I wouldnt do it myself, except, under these specific conditions. I have played many 26 hour Scenario games. Im always exausted and out of money by midnight or so and stop playing until the next morning (As do most players). What im proposing to do here is run a strictly night game. There would be marked boundaries, some field lights, many glow sticks (Including two different colors for each team and all players get one), of course all of my night Scenario goodies, and the game would run from Midnight till 8am only. So were talking about an 8 hour game. Regular registration fees would apply.
Theres always safety issues when playing at night. As safety is aways our #1 issue at Fox, we would enforce all of the safety rules extremly hard. The problem is, I have so many cool toys that I use for night games, and I never get to play with them anymore.
Im looking at July 3rd, 2006. This way most players can be down at the field after work if thier workin the day before a holiday, and the game will actually end on the 4th, which im sure most players will have off.
I think this would be an awesome game and I would throw in some kickin prizes at the end too. We would need a good 100+ players to be there to make this work.
Throw me as much feedback as possible on what you think about both offers for night games ay Fox Paintball this year. Im down there all the time anyway, so who says I cant have a little fun too??
