    Blackcat's "Planet of the Apes" Scenario - Dec. 2nd & 3rd

    What: Blackcat Paintball Scenario

    http://www.blackcatpaintball.com/

    When: Dec. 2nd & 3rd

Where: TAAG Paintball - North Fork, CA. (40 miles above Fresno)

    Press Release:

BlackCat Paintball Productions is back in California for their Farewell to 2006 End of Season Finale. BlackCat Paintball, who is nationally known throughout the scenario community for their mind-bending, action packed scenarios, is happy to announce that they will be working with New T.A.A.G. Paintball Park in North Fork, CA.

New T.A.A.G. Paintball Park is conveniently located just 40 minutes north of Fresno, CA and boasts over 40 acres dedicated to paintball action.

Spiro "BlackCat" Mamaligas is quoted as saying, "We really look forward to working with the field owners of this paintball establishment. This young field has a lot to offer all of our players. The gently rolling, grassy hills of this field along with it's outcroppings of rocks and wooded boarders boast a 10 building town, a fortress and even burms and trenches! This park screams of non-stop paintball action to be played on it."

Spiro goes on to add, "I think a scenario game loosely based on "Planet of the Apes" is what this field needs"

So hang on to your seats paintballers as BlackCat and T.A.A.G. Paintball Park take you on an adrenaline filled adventure to another planet, a Planet of the Apes, on December 1-3, 2006.

As if a BlackCat scenario was not enough for players, BlackCat is adding many more goodies to the mix for this event. Starting Friday night with a Player BBQ sponsored by Original SWAT Boots, a Costume Contest on Saturday morning with the winner receiving a Smart Parts ION to a Saturday evening Chili fest fit for kings prepared by California's own, BMF Renegades. Let's not forget your typical BlackCat goodies such as the Smart Parts Pre-registered Player drawing where the winner will receive a SP8, a case of paint and a pass to yet another BlackCat event, and THOUSANDS of other prizes given away in drawings on Sunday.

But this is not all that BlackCat has in store! In an effort to help scenario games grow BlackCat is offering an "Introduce someone new to Scenario Paintball" discounted entry. For each full price entry to this event you can register a first time BlackCat player for 1/2 price.

Now a BlackCat game would just not be the same without the great teams and folks who have supported them since 2002 when they first introduced scenario paintball to California. So in an effort to say thank you to these many great supporters BlackCat will be lowering their paint prices on each players first case of paint by $10. "Not enough." some may say? Well BlackCat has heard your cry, after all this is a player appreciation game. So bring your patch jerseys, vests or jackets proudly displaying at least 6 patches from past BlackCat games sewn on and receive an additional $5 discount off a case of paint.

Have fun guys. I won't be able to make this one. I'm saving up and practicing to go to an indoor archery event in January. I still love paintball but it doesn't lead to the international 5 ring event.

Great event. Lil light on the numbers for a scenario event though(I was expecting like 200 or so people). But Very fun event. Field was awesome if a little light on the heating =P (yes at night is was damned bloody cold). Of course the most important thing.....

                  HUMANS WON

.... Those dirty stupid monkeys couldn't get any technology going

Big thanks to the Field Owner and manager who took alot of time getting the field ready for this event, They also had food there for those slackers who forget to bring enough, Prices were very low for what they had (yes, they took a loss. Hard to debate wether the concession stand guys sell cheaply and take a loss or raise prices a tad to cover costs to be able to do next time.)

More thanks to all the teams and Individuals who showed up played thie rbest and made for an all around great time for everyone. Notables in my head are team Lockdown who provided generals and XO's for both sides, OCMI for being organized and ready for the fun, Clowns - well jsut for being you . If I didnt mention ya i didn't forget your team just doing this real fast at work

How about those 2 girls who made out like bandits at the Prize giveaway

                    I was your general...

Blackcat gave me a season pass for generalling on such short notice. I won an SP8 at the drawing.

Those 2 girls took home some major swag!

                        Yay Humans!

Yep, Black Cat pulled off another awesome California game! Those who missed it really lost out, but both BC and TAAG Paintball have promised at least one return visit to the field in 2007 so you have a chance next year to redeem yourselves. Maybe you too can win a free marker in the costume contest, as I did at Planet of the Apes (for dressing up in a banana costume). Many thanks to Black Cat, TAAG paintball, and all the players who made this event such a blast. But cowpie fertilizer bomb props? I'm sure glad I was on the launching side rather than the receiving end!

I already posted a thanks in the Black Cat forum, but I'd also like to say it here also - thanks AGD for supporting Black Cat Productions and scenario paintball in general with your sponsorship. It means a lot to the players, especially those who win free stuff. I played the entire weekend using my 1991-era Classic Mag (with Lvl. 10 & X-Valve upgrades), and it performed flawlessly, as usual. In fact, I haven't had to do anything to that marker other than routine cleaning and lube for over 18 months now...AGD rocks!

Yup forgot to thank AGD for thier sponsorship =) I used an AGD Tac One with Longbow kit and Q-Loader (Q-Loader another sponsor damn I didnt win the Q-loader package they gave away). My marker was almost the quietest and one of the more accurate marker out there considering the paint we had to use with the weather conditions.

Had my Dallara w/ Chimera along for the ride with a classic valve as backup but didn't need it =) Couln't use the phantom due to cold and only had the 12g setup =/.
