    New Old Minimag

I bought a slightly used minimag off of ebay. I used to have a automag a few years back and sold it to pay for school. Well I wanted to start playing again so I picked up a minimag. It looks great, but I think its pretty old. It came with the stock barrel and valve internals. It does have a benchmark 2 finger triggerframe. It only has one hole in the rear of the valve instead of 8. Does AGD still upgrade this for free? I ask because this mag has no stars at all. I mean it never had any. was this thing made before the star program?

    Any help would be great.

The stars are for rebuild/repair/maintenance. I don't think they do any upgrading. I think it is still free though.

The deal with the holes is that you would like the hole in the valve body to match up with a hole in the reg if you are trying to shoot over about 10-13 bps. You can check yours by marking the valve and reg bodies with a sharpee or blue pen and then screwing them together. If it is an issue you can find some info here about drilling a second hole that is in the right spot, or getting it drilled.

The RT on/off drops into the minimag and will cut the trigger pull by about half and cut down on your half strokes.

If you don't have a force feeder like a halo B, reloader B, or eggy, that would be a definitely welcome upgrade. They cure a lot of chopping, and if you need a level 10 bolt because you're shooting too fast, then you want a faster feeder anyway.
