Ok I took apart the regulator on my mm valve and regreased it. seemed like it might have helped a little on my shootdown problem but i have some questions about things.

1. the regulator piston is one unit. Agd says dont take it apart but how can you tell if its in working condition. Looking through the black hex screw that holds it together mine had almost no grease in it. The pics ive scene dont look like my part, but i havent scene ppl post pictures of a taken apart minimag vavle, just other types. I'll take my own pics when i get home so you guys can see what im talking about. The reg does change the velocity with very little movement, which says its working pretty good to me.

Where can i get this video that i hear people talking about, and is there a walk through of a dissasemble/clean/reassemble. Basically I would love some intruction to doing a basic diassembly and inspection of the whole thing. Im sure there are posts already but i cant find them. i'm not ruling out my clutsy fingers shortstroking, but I should do at least an inspection and regrease just to make sure.

I will be starting the dissassemble tonight, and i will get you guys some pics if I have questions so you know what im talking about. any suggestions or resources are much appreciated?

Part 1of 9 of the video , they are all there but you may want to fast forward from time to time .

Do not take apart the piston. I oil the piston with gold cup or something similar and use brake or bering grease on the spring pack (auto parts store stuff). Has worked for me for 15+ years.

From your other posts it sounds like the gun needs to be oiled and maybe some swollen o rings replaced. When you go liquid with a Mag you know it because it starts hissing and coughing at you so I don't think that is your problem. Enough liquid co2 and the marker turns into a fire extinguisher (happened to me only once and it is not pretty but does not damage anything either).

Oil, maybe a few new o rings and give then a few hundred shots to break in and you should be fine.

If you are getting shoot down, try replacing the regulator seat oring and the bolt spring.

I pulled the whole works apart last night, oiled everything, replaced the regulator seat (looked way worse then the smooth new one). all the orings looked good and werent too tight against the moving parts, they also had oil on them so they prob arent in too bad of shape. I also adjusted the trigger in a bit to make sure the trigger can fully extend and gave it some backwards play to make sure i open the valve fully.

Seems to have fixed the problem. No noticable shootdown. I used my remote line and kept my tank vertical so there should be a negligable amount of CO2 in the valve. I also noticed when i tuned the velocity this time the velocity adjuster is in a little bit farther. I think a lot of what was happening wasnt shootdown, but that my velocity was set around 240 and the reg seat was giving me a first shot hot in the 280's. That combined with the misadjusted trigger helping me shortstroke was likely what the problem was.

anyway its done for a bit, time to just use it. thanks for everyones help, I really appreciate it.
