Shootdown Problem

i heard if you put that rt on/off in a 68 classic valve it will up the recharge rate

is their anyway i can get more than 13bps with out shootdown off of a 68 classice valve, because i really don't want to spend 200 or more on a new valve

AIR valves go beyond 13 bps. Many people have shot theirs beyond 16bps without shootdown. Most shootdown, if it does happen, won't even be noticed by the majority of users. The biggest tweak to prevent shootdown, would be to use the retro on-off and shim between the on-off halves to shorten the distance between closing the valve and releasing the sear. Use the quad oring in the on-off top to reduce friction.

i just bought a oring kit i replaced the bolt spring, the regulator seat, the piston oring and cleaned and lubed everything up it shoots a little better but still drops off not as bad as before but still drops off bad, and it still leaks out of the back or the 68 classic valve bad. i tested it with the palmers reg. when i was shooting it i didn't get to use the 68 classic valve but it still leaks out of the back of the velocity adjustment hole.

If its leaking out the back of the adjustment hole, then it could be a weak regulator piston assembly.

Your shootdown is most likely an ASA that is pushing the tank pin in too far and choking your air supply off.

i'll try changing the reg. piston and whats a good asa that you would recommend to fix that if it is that problem

no need to change the asa just put a bottle oring down in the bottom and then screw your tank in normally the oring will prevent you from screwing it in too far and will prevent it from backing out while you are playing

i tried both a regular asa where you just screw it in and and on/off asa and the both do the same thing but thats with the palmers regulator i haven't got the 68 classic to work yet i'm in the process of buying a regulator piston and i'm going to try that out but i really appreciate all of your guy's help thanks alot
