RT Pro Custom Fore Grip

Hiya, after much trawling through the AO forum pictures, I could not help but appreciate the simplicity of the markers posted. One mag in particular caught my eye.

This one to be more specific:


I was hoping to mod a RT ULE Pro(with XValve, lvl10 & ULT pre installed) as close as I could; It had me wondering...

1.) Would it be possible to remove the front silver metal front grip mount? (the metal frame that looks similar to the "Sight Rail-RT Pro"), and have the Front Grip (Screw In) Gas Thru connected directly to the rail as pictured above.

2.) Secondly, would the RT ULE Pro rail allow for the Front grip to be placed directly next to the trigger guard. Kinda like the Tac-1 trigger/front grip set-up.

Here's a picture of what I'd like to achieve.


If its a yes to either, theres gonna be a RT ULE Pro Custom with my name on it, shipping to Australia *grin*

If you are buying directly from agd or one of the fine retailers on this forum it can be set up for you the way you like it. Most rails accept a direct mount front bottle adaper, and if i'm not mistaken the RT-ULE pro will come with a tac rail.

This is the one that is currently sold by paintballsupplies.nl:



With the longer RT style rails you usually have 2 mounting options. Tight against the trigger guard, or out there, like the first pic you posted. Some rails have a slot so you can also position the rail in between. The short rails only give you one position to mount.

Wow, thanks for the speedy response :P I was just about to hit the sack and call it a night haha.

That I am, purchasing a fine mag direct from AGD. You see the politicians here in Australia have made the purchasing of a marker very ... complicated. Needless to say alot of hoops must be jumped in order to aquire a permit to import. Which is partly the reason why I'd like to remain within the boundaries of parts provided. (stock)

As such, ordering the RT ULE Pro Custom from AGD and than a seperate rail from another dealer would indeed be a painful process.

However you mentioned 3 rails (Tac Rail, long rail, short rail) and I'm slightly confused *grin* So just to clarrify,

The straight out from factory RT ULE Pro Custom comes with a TAC rail?
OR
If not, does the RT-Pro Rail allow for the front grip to be connected directly?

EDIT: The product options for the RT ULE Pro dosen't seem to include rail selection. It does mention "RT-Pro Rail" and frustratingly, theres no picture of it in the "Parts" section of the AGD product store.

The marker in the first pic is an '07 RPG Paradigm Pro. The rail is an RPG Recon rail which has an adjustable foregrip slot. The Intelliframe comes with the anodized black I-Blade Trigger, and the body comes with the RPG Sub-Zero feedneck. The package price is $499.

Oh dear... So in order to achieve that tight frame set-up I'll have to jump through the legal importing hoops and find me an after-market rail. =P Baaah! I'll give em' a call.

Has anyone manage to fit a front grip directly into their RT Pro rail without the sliver mount?
Marker hits are such a pain to clean with those things on >.<

The mount hole was predrilled most of the way thru.

Hey yeah! Thats it, I think that could be the solution. Your front grip looks pretty cool, like a stiffi carbon barrel

I'm assuming the the pre-drilled mount hole is the first one from the right. Would it accept this AGD front grip? I notice that in the pictures I previously posted, theres a cylinder that extends downwards from the rail to accomodate the front grip threads.

The hole is the far left one with the screw in it.
You need a vert asa for that grip.

About the long and short rail... Look at my Tac-one:



This has a wingless tac rail, (long style) a bit different than the tac rails currently issued with the latest model Tac-one. (shorter at the front and milled a bit different) That rail is a bit shorter, so it will allow for just one position to mount your grip.



Here you can see the rail has 3 holes in the front for mounting a RT style front bottle adapter and it can be mounted in 2 positions. If the rail is of the short type, you will only have the last 2 holes to mount. (and the rail will be shorter from the front end) Also you will have aftermarket rails that have slots, so you can mount it wherever you like.

Classic style rails are usually shorter and use a other sear, sear pin and front bottle adapter. (FBA mounts with a 1/4" UNC screw)
RT style rails are both available in short and long versions, and their sear, sear pin and front bottle adapter differ from the classic rails (FBA mounts with two 10-32 UNF screws)

Well i hope this clears some things up. Btw, if you want aftermarket parts that are non-stock, have them shipped as machine parts or sporting goods, whatever fits better. In europe we also have some strict laws about paintball markers, but usually i get my stuff. (the marker in the pics was imported from the states) But i really doubt it if a Tippmann X7 or any other milsim marker will pass customs....

Thanks for pictures! Yup it does answer my question quite clearly. Infact, being able to look at the rail a little closer lets me see that the RT pro rail already has an indentation (mentioned by Madmarx) All I have to do is just drill through and wack a Vertical Adaptor in and hey presto! Instant Tac-One without the picatinny rails *grin*

The main goal was to mount a front grip without the sliver RT Pro foregrip frame; which dosent make for easy cleaning inbetween rounds, paint has a tendency to find its way into places you never expect

As for shipping them under different names, its a good idea But it tends to get flakey as AUS customs has a notorious nose for sniffing out marker parts. Although if you think about it, having a mag sent to you in its dis-assembled state is less likely to cop detection. The intelliframe and trigger might require some quick talking though...
