    New to automags

    Hello all.
I have been thinking of getting an Automag but need some info before I buy one. I play scenario ball and want to make sure that I have a marker that can go the distance with air, reliability, maintenance, and accuracy. I have been told by Ramon at AGD that on average you can get about 800 rounds out of a 68/4500 HPA tank.
How do I get the most efficiency out of a tac-one to allow long terms of play in the field?
How do I do it and not sacrifice range and accuracy with no drop off?
How do these markers stack up against some of the other markers?

Right not I am using an 05 timmy with an infamous board and a shocktech bolt. I can get about 6 pods and a hopper out of it. Where does an automag stack up against it? I would prefer the auto mag since it is a mech marker, and therefore not as intensive and picky as an e-marker.

Please give me your honest input (no marker bashing) of the pro's and con's of this marker.

Also, any advantage to having a warp feed?

    Set to go

I think most mags are designed to be as efficient as they can be right out of the box. I have heard that the Lx sacrifices a bit of efficiency but i dont have any knowledge of my own on it. I also play woodsball and have struggled with the same things you are.

    1. I just bought a 114 cu tank to run in my pack. That way I can get a case or so out of it. Just going to run a remote and fab up a stock for it. Thats the easiest way to make sure you can keep playing all day that I have found. you can also get a scuba and have your own fill station. Most places I go cant do a full 4500 very often at all, and lots can only do 3000. Whether you can get a 4500 fill will make a big difference in that respect. your own fill station will be much cheaper than having multiple tanks for backups.

    2. If you tune it right you shouldnt have any drop off worries. im assuming you are buying a complete tac one setup just like AGD makes it so it should have an xvalve, LX, and a ULT. You will need to tune the trigger and bolt, but once that is done...

    3. I have not used many high end guns except my PM5, but against most woodsball setups (tippmanns, Spyders, ion variants) the mag wins hands down. They are just as reliable as the rest. mags can probably take more beating than others but assuming good maintenance they will all last. Mags have a few advantages in my eyes. They are small (for when you have to tuck in behind something), they are quiet (not the quietest, but there up there on the list), non electric (nuff said). They are also self regulating with good quality parts, so upgrades are not a neccesity like an ion.

Ive gotten to use mine once so far and even though I dont have it fully tuned in and was kind of limping it with CO2 I still am putting up my other woodsball markers tonight. At half capabilities I like it better than my MR3, or a 98.

get an emag. you can run it on electro or if the battery dies or gets crazy you can switch it back to mechanical. i use mine all the time for scenario's. i only carry a hopper and 4 pods and i still have about 1200-1400 psi left from a 68/4500 fill.

i use a longbow tacone actaully i have 2 one for my gf too
i use a 13ci/ 3000 psi tank and i can use up all my feedtubes ie 100 rounds and i then dig into my pack for more paint in 10 round tubes of course its good enough to use at skirmish at the big games i go out until i get shot or till i have to go to the bathroom im usually out there for hours doing missions and stalking as a sniper but as to my air running out in a reg woodsball game local field ill use all my tubes up then i refill while waiting for everyone else i will not go 2 games without refilling bad idea but its a a really tiny tank mind u i used to use a shocker 05 with halo and a 45/45 i got rid of it and moved to full woodsball 13 years i have been playing for my background and i have owned 37 mags and about 15 other brands but i will always own a mag

I just recently got almost exactly 1040 rounds off of a mag with Level 10 and XValve, with between 1500-2000 psi left in my 68/4500 air tank. This was off a full air tank (my guage read over 4500, but this was at EMR, and the tank filler told me that his gauge was a lot more accurate than my $20 gauge on my Pure Energy tank, so I stopped worrying. Plus, the burst disk didn't burst, so he was probably telling the truth).

          They seem quite efficient.
