Assembling Your Logic UMF

Couple of important tips for those who ordered a logic UMF and some pics to identify the bits and pieces.

You should be getting a bag of parts that looks something like this (plus or minus anything already installed):

Other than the obvious trigger and frame these are the parts:

Trigger stop screw

Use at YOUR OWN RISK. AGD does not recommend the use of trigger stops and you should be aware that they can cause undue wear or damage to your marker.


Trigger rod contact screw

Like your trigger rod this needs to be properly adjusted for your marker to function as designed.


Grip screws (4 come with each frame)

Bottom Line Mount Screws

Bottom Dovetail Jam Screw

This goes in an empty bottom line hole to secure your asa in place.

Front Frame Screw

Rear Frame Screw (replaces field strip screw don't screw it in too tight)

Trigger Pivot Pin

IMPORTANT PAY ATTENTION TO and READ THIS

The hole in the frame where the trigger pivot pin is drilled out LARGER than needed to allow for the anno. The trigger pivot pin MUST be secured in some fashion if you leave your frame raw. You can have the pin knurled, secure it with blue loctite, or smash one end of the pin in a vise or pliers or something (DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK) to create the needed tension.

You may not need to do anything to get the pin to fit snuggly once your frame has been anno'd. I have had to do a little home knurling even for the ano'd frames. Just be sure your trigger pivot pin is in there nice and snug.

wow, cool! wait a second, no more field strip screw?

Right no more field strip screw if you use the rear frame screw provided. This provides you with a recessed rear frame screw. If you wanted to you could still use your field strip screw though.

how hard is it to put in the safety? it looks like it needs a very very very small allen wrench that i dont have...

and so, if i pay you for a raw one, and i send it in for an anno, will the other installations such as trigger pin and whatnots be hard to install?

yes you need the right size allen wrench. Installing the safety, trigger etc after ano should not be overly difficult. I will leave it up to the gang to point you to other thread with instructions for doing this stuff. It really shouldn't be all that hard.
