    Front Grip,,,,...

I want to put a front grip on my 68 automag and Im not sure what the deal is. My friend is giving me a grip from a mag that he doesnt use, (It was givin to him for free) and there is no vertical adapter on the grip, it jsut screws up into the long body rail thing, i was wondering if you had to drill out a hole, b/c i noticed htere is an indent and it seems plastic, so i thought you might drill a hole there and put an allen screw through there into the top of the grip, am i right, im not sure. Thanks.

oh yea sorry about hte bad typing

yea that is how it is done on a standard. The screw is a standard allen head screw but the head is a little shorter so it fits flush with the top of the body rail. I hope he has the right screw too. If not you need to find one or grind down the head of a regular allen head screw so it doesn't hit anything underneath the body and not let it pull all the way down. The screw is a 10-32 thread if I remember right. The length is not critical but make sure several threads go into the grip. Good luck you shouldn't have any trouble.

you can buy the right screw at a hardware store and save the trouble of modifying any thing. it will cast about 50 cents.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.
