Xvalve - Bolt doesnt reset?

Sometimes if my mag with an xvalve is short stroked, the bolt does not fully re-set. It will return *almost * to the propper position, but just a hair shy of locking with the sear.

This causes the marker not to fire until either the air supply is removed and re attached, or the bolt is pushed on ever so slightly towards the rear of the marker. (when pushing so you can hear it click and re-set).

What do i need to do to keep this from happening? Stronger bolt spring? - If so, who has them for sale?

When this happened to me, I made sure I had the right carrier and enough oil through it, so that the spring was more effective and didn't have to fight the resistance of the o-ring and friction. What spring are you using currently and how old is it?

i assuming that ur using a lvl 10 on the xvalve, right? how many shims are u running in the lvl 10? try removing one shim and retest it.

You have bolt stick. Go up a carrier size.

You're having the same problem I am. Like above, AGD and others suggest moving up the carrier size, with no shims.

More than likely you have a simple case of lvl 10 bolt stick. Time to re-tune it. Firstly, I am going to guess you either have 1 or 0 shims in there. Try 3 and see how it works. More shims mean it will vent sooner. When it vents, it will retract. If there are not enough shims, then the vent hole may not be clearing far enough to release the air.

Put more shims in, lube it, and try it. You may also need to go up a carrier size. Go up in 1/2 increments. If it leaks, go back down.

**Also - if you are using a ULE body and ULE'd rail, make sure you are not over tightening your front and rear frame screws. Doing so can cause the alignment to go off.
